Yappy Hour

Hi Everyone
I am sad to report that I was unable to attend last nights Yappy Hour at Vintage 50 in Leesburg, but that I did send my silly little assistant, Bob and I asked him to report back to me.  Evidently everyone had a wonderful time but me.

My Gram and My Mom say I don't do well in social situations involving other dogs, especially small fluffy ones, in close spaces.   Can you believe that?    And so, they took the big mean PitBull, who is a big baby and came home dragging his little ass behind him because he was all tired out.

Bob wasn't allowed to drink anything but water, which is as it should be, but the two legs in attendance can have soft drinks or cocktails, and also yummy snacks.   My Mom and My Gram really like the Polish Porogues, whatever those are.   I probably would have liked some too, but no one thought to bring the poor Princess even so much as a lone doggy bag.

Yappy Hour at Vintage 50 Restuarant on Catoctin Circle is held the first Monday night of every month between the hours of 5 and 7ish.    It's really a fun event and gets a good turnout.  Last night Bob saw our really good friends Rick & Janet Morley with their dog Mercury.   Mercury had invited one of his Visala buddies, Sammy The V, and those boys sorta hung out together, according to Bob, who was frankly unsure of Sammy The V as he said he had a Gangsta' sounding name.

Also our friends Paul & Holly Shan with Duchess and Sir Didymus who are very well behaved little minature schnauzers, although they are a bit shy and spent a fair amount of time under the footstool.    And of course Chardy Hafey, who could easily be Bob's best friend in the world, according to Bob.  Chardy, owned by Maggie Hafey, is truly a wonderful yellow lab and he and Bob report to me that Chardy will be coming to our home at some future date in order to have his photograph made by Miss Bev.  I probably won't be allowed at that photo op either.   Nothing good happens for The Princess these days.

Bob says his one true love was also at the party and that they were able to snuggle on the couch.  Belle Ross is a Snoodle, and I have no idea why she would want to hang out with The Baby, but evidently she likes him too.    So sad.

I'll try to find some pictures to post to My Blog Page so you can get a good idea of the turn-out, but really, in October, you should go.   Maybe you can bring me a Doggy Bag.

Love and licks, The Princess.

    Daisy,

I'm sorry it's taken so long for me to post on your blog! Don't think I've been neglecting you! You're still the best. Not BOB! I just wanted to tell you not to feel left out about being left behind for Yappy Hour! Your Mom and Gram made me go walk dogs and I didn't have time to go either! They are so brutal, aren't they????

Thank you, Auntie Beth.   I'm glad someone feels my pain.    Are you telling all of your friends to read my words? When can you come to see me?   Don't forget to bring a gift.

      Love, The Princess

    Dearest Daisy,
Honey, I'm sorry your didn't get to go to Yappy Hour, but Bob is not being truthful, at all. He told me he didn't have fun at all and it's because YOU weren't there. It took a while to get the truth out of him (you can tell from this late post), but it should make you feel better to know this. Also, little Princess, I think Sammy the V is really a Vizsla, not a Visala. Just thought I'd help you out there!

Love & Kisses, Vicki, Blazer & Kimber
