The Amazing Race
Did you watch The Amazing Race on your television last night? It was the start of a new season and I always like to make sure I watch from the very beginning so I can make my list of who needs to get the boot. Thankfully, I picked correctly last night as after only one short hour, those two were annoying me very badly.
As of this morning I have decided that the Gothic Pink Couple are very entertaining, but I'm not too sure how much stamina they are going to have. They are terribly skinny. But I do like their clothing.
I have decided that I am going to attend The Amazing Race next time. They have been very stupid because they have not thought about having dogs instead of two-legs. I have decided that my friend, Niles, will be my racing partner. I was going to take Bob, but Bob is still such a baby and if he started to cry while we were on the television it would be very embarrasing for The Princess.
Have you met my friend Niles? I am sure I have written to you about him. He is PBGV, a "rustic french rabbit hound". His Mom is our photo taker, Bev. The reason I want to Race Around the World with Niles (besides the obvious, which is that he is very easy on my eyesight), is because he is intelligent AND most important of all, he has a sense of humor. Plus he always makes very useful comments and suggestions for my blogging career.
I do have a couple of concerns and I'm going to work on that. Neither of us has thumbs. Those do seem to come in handy (ha - that was quite a funny pun, wasn't it?). Actually, I'll have to re-write the show as well as get a new producer (I think Caeser Milan would be good). There are obviously a lot of things that the dogs won't be able to do, but with careful editing and some imagination, I think we'll be o.k. Maybe instead of two dogs racing around together, it should be one dog and their human. Or two dogs with two humans so instead of two in a team it would be four. Or two humans and one dog. That might be good. And I'm a little concerned about the riding on bicycles. And sleeping outside. I don't think I would like to have to do that. What if there were bugs?
You know what? I don't want to race. It is too much work for The Princess. I'm just going to see if Niles wants to come watch my television and sit on my couch and eat snacks.

Daisy:
Your brilliance continues to amaze me! While I am a very fast runner (did you know that PBGV's "ZOON???"), I too am an excellent couch-layer and TV watcher.
Another reason not to go to the Amazing Race - we wouldn't fit under the airplane seats and would have to go as CARGO!!! Can you imagine, you, the Princess and me, of grand French lineage, as CARGO?? Don't be silly.
Grab the remote and let's settle in for winter!
Your friend
Niles

I never thought about that.
Cargo? That is totally disgusting.
Besides I have never been on an airplane and I think, perhaps, I would prefer to travel by limo. That alone would present some difficulties in our effort to get to Europe. By all means, we'll stay home.

daisy, you're spot on. we loathed the couple that ended up getting the boot because they stole the cab from the nice people. and we love the goth couple as well. they're skinny, but they're fast as a border collie, so we'll see.
p.s. any wedding bells in the future for you and niles?

Spot On!
What a fine expression that is! Are you English, like me?
Do you know who else says that all of the time?
Gordon Ramsay! I love him! He is my favorite chef of all time - well except for my own Dad, who is very, very good in the cooking department and since he lives in my home, I get to eat the foods he prepares, whereas I just get to look at Gordon. I love his Nightmares in the Kitchen show! And the Devil in the Kitchen one.
As for Niles. I don't think that would be such a good idea. I think Niles is very nice, but I like being single. I want to be able to put the Blue Blanket on my head whenever I want and spend all day on the couch watching TV in my jammies. I don't think I would like a man hanging around looking at me all day long and expecting me to be nice to him. In other words, Niles is a nice place to visit but I don't want to live with him. I have more than enough trouble trying to get along with Bob.
Love and Licks and thank you for being a constant reader.

Miss Princess Daisy, I just have to say that I recently learned to read (my mom says I'm not too bright, but I'm super lovable - I think that's a compliment!) Anyway I really enjoy reading your blog -- you are very entertaining! Allow me to introduce myself - I am Smurf the pit bull, and my mom runs another pet sitting company and says that she is friends with your mom and Gram. My mom says that I am distant cousins of you and Bob, and I think we must be. Maybe we can get together sometime and see just how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Kong?
Cuddles and licks,
Smurf

My Dear Smurf
I am so pleased that you have taken the time to write to me and comment on my BAD (Blog About Daisy). It is always pleasant to meet a distant cousin of Bob, who I have decided is o.k. to be related too. Most of the time that is. Note I did not call our work effort a BAB (Blog About Bob), since I do all of the work and he just wanders around looking good.
I know all about your Mom, as your Mom and my Mom are friends, so your Mom and my Gram have actually told Bob and I all about you.
It would really be great if you could send me your photo. And, yes, I think that getting to the heart of a Kong would surely be a good idea. You and I will work on the problem and then tell Bob after we are done. Ha!
Love,
The Princess
