This Blogging Business

Does everyone remember me, The Princess?  Daisy?   I hope my fans haven't fogotten me and will forgive my Gram and me (and Bob) for being lousy blogging people.    The truth is that my Gram has been very sick this year and without her, I am useless.  Try as I might, I am unable to figure out how to work the letters on the computer board to write my words.  Bob can't even talk straight, much less write anything down.

But, the Good News is this!  We are back in The Blogging Business.  As of today.    My Gram says she feels well enough to write every day, but I'll just have to make sure she doesn't forget.  I guess it is really tough getting to be an Old Person.    Thank Goodness that my Gram has a wonderful doctor person who takes wonderful care of her in spite of the fact that she is so ancient.

I have some news.  Yesterday, my Beautiful Mom, Lydia, and I went to see our wonderful photographer, Bev Hollis.  We went to her new studio in Philomont and we took a lot of nice photos of me and my Mom.  Just in time for Easter.    It's always nice to have a photo taken on Easter Sunday in your nice new dress with your nice new Mary-Jane shoes.  Unfortunately, I have neither of those things at this point in time.   I am hoping that the Easter Bunny will bring me something, but my Mom has proven useless in the shoes for Daisy department.

All she said was, "Daisy-Girl, Bulldogs do not wear shoes.   I'll get you a new collar".

I don't want another collar.   I have so many now that I can hardly remember which one is which.    And that isn't the point.   I want a nice pair of white patten leather Mary Janes.    Every girl needs new White Shoes on Easter Sunday.   My Gram said that when she was growing up that was the best part of Easter.    And the chocolate eggs, of course.   I don't suppose I'll get that either.

As you can see, not much has changed in our home since I have been out of The Blogging Business.   No one shops for me any more.    Everyone is too busy walkin' other people's dogs.    I'm just a poor sad Princess.  Please, please, take pity and at least send my Mom an e-mail and tell her that Daisy should have a new pair of shoes.  (well....two pairs, actually).

Here is one of my new pictures taken by our wonderful Bev Hollis.    You can go visit Bev yourself and read her Blog.   Her Blog is always up to date and current with the latest news.    Someday we will do The Battle of The Blogs, but for now, I concede that Bev is ahead.   Bev's Beautiful Blog

Love and Licks,
Daisy

    Dear Daisy:
I love your new pictures. (I watched over my mom's shoulder as she got them out of her camera). You really are one bee-you-tee-full Bulldog!

I empathize with you and your shoe issue. I've been sort of hinting that I'd like a new squeaky toy for Easter. But guess what I got instead? A lousy bath! Can you believe that? I mean really, what's the point. There's always some fresh cat poop in the yard that I will roll in the minute they let me out of here. But until then, I'm sickeningly clean and on the lookout for that damn bunny.

Happy Easter from your friend Niles Phineas...
