Disturbing News

I received a comment on my Blogging from yesterday and since it is very important, I thought I would just paste it into today's Blog so that it will get the proper attention that it deserves.   I just learned how to help my Gram with the jar of paste so that we can move stuff from one place to another, and it is fun!   My Gram says I can't eat too much paste however, or I will be sick.

Anyway.  Back to the comment on my Blogging.  Here it is:

Dear Daisy:
I've been meaning to write you for some time now and get something off my chest.

I am Lily, big sister of Niles Phineas. You know the PBGV that you sort of "favor?" Well, I was wondering if you think Bob is so stupid how you would fall for my silly brother?

Seriously. He is not the brightest crayon if the box if you know what I mean. I am sending evidence to your Gram to show you. Just yesterday (for April Fools) I told him it was easier to catch a squirrel if you run real fast with your eyes closed. Like I said, evidence of his IQ level to follow.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything. It's just that, like you, I am the perfect princess in my house. Sometimes I just get frustrated when he gets all the attention.

Your new, faithful, and extremely intelligent friend - Ms. Lilly.

And here is the photo graph that Ms. Lilly took of her poor brother trying to catch squirrels.

And to make matters even worser, here is the photo graph that our friend Bev took of Ms. Lilly after she made poor Niles make a fool out of himself.

So here is my problem and this is what is disturbing me.    While I certainly appreciate a good prank when I see one, it disturbs me that my wonderful friend Niles would be the butt of such a cruel joke.    I realize that I make a lot of fun of Bob, but Bob is truly dumb.   Niles is just trusting.    He obviously trusted what his sister told him would work out the best, even though you would have thought that any fairly intelligent dog wouldn't run around with their eyes closed trying to catch something like a squirrel.

On the other paw however, my Gram told me that if I ran around real fast with my eyes closed, I might get a new collar and matching leash, and as you can see I did it.   And the Princess is certainly not stupid, because right after I did that trick, I not only got my collar and leash, I got a whole BUNCH of photo graphs taken by Miss Bev.     So.   I think I have made my point.   Running around with your eyes closed is not a sign of stupidity.  It is a sign of Trust and the ability to entertain one's humans to such a degree that they buy you wonderful presents all the time; they let you sleep where ever you want to sleep; they let you sleep until noon if you want to; they let you have treats whenever you feel like it and they shower you with hugging and kissing ALL the time.

And so, Miss Lilly.    Please don't call Niles stupid.    He is my friend and you have hurt his feelings by all of this business of laughing at him and then sending out the photo graph.    Please remember that Niles and the Princess have a LOT in common and that he was my friend first.     Perhaps a small apology is in order.  If Simon Cowell can do it, maybe you can too.
If you want to be my true friend, send the apology and a small gift and I'll consider it.

Love and Licks, The Only True Princess , Daisy
