Buffy & Beeper

For two and a half long months we have been hoping to find a Foster Home for our wonderful friends Buffy & Beeper.    Yesterday, at long last, it happened, and boy was it a Happy Day.

The Mom of Buffy & Beeper, who is a wonderful lady named Margaret, has been sick for a long time, but we are working on our dogma skills and praying too, so that she gets well and can come home to her dogs.   Since she became ill and had to go stay in a place called a Hospital, Buffy and Beeper had to live all alone in their townhouse, with only one of our wonderful pet-sitters, Ms. Estelle Bozeman, to go and visit with them two times each day.
Estelle fell in love with them, as does every single person who ever met them, but she could not bring them home to her house.  That made Miss Estelle very sad.

Let's be honest for a minute.    My Mom and My Gram really, really, really wanted Buff & Beep to come stay with us, but it is already a little bit crowded in our homes.    We have me, of course, and I remain Numero Uno, The Princess, so I live in my home with my Mom and my Dad.     My Omi, who is, (as I have told you in the past, the mother of my father), lives in the same house with me, but just in a different part.   She has a little dog named Precious, a kitty cat named Emma and a husband.   It's a little crowded in her part of the house.

Then there is my Gram.  My Gram has a small apartment above our garage space, and that is where Bob, The Big and Stupid, lives.    Along with Bob is our small dog with tiny legs who my Gram calls a Food Tube, but whose real name is Rusty, and then a small, beautiful, delicate little Queen of Everything (or so she mistakenly thinks) named Scarlett Baby.   Her name is because my Gram says "nobody puts Baby in the corner".     Scarlett is something called a Rat Terrier and I am very busy trying to figure out what exactly was going on when they named that breed.     I suspect they caught rats at some time in their past life. Yuck!    Scarlett spends a great part of her day hoping and praying to catch a squirrel, cause we don't have no rats in our house.

So you get the point.  It's crowded around here.

Oh yeah - and then living in our office space are four other cats, a Big White Bird named George and a small green bird named Honey.    George is not friendly.   Honey is so friendly it is disgusting.  She is trying to be The Princess, and there is no chance on this planet that that will every happen.   And then some tiny frogs and some snails living in a special home.

Oh yeah - and then living in the house with me is a turtle named Daschette (or Turtle Myrtle) and a tank full of fish who don't have names.   So, there is no more room in the inn.

Several weeks ago we found a Foster Home for Buffy & Beeper , but it turned out the nice man living there got some allergies from being around them and they had to return home.

Back to the drawing board.      My Mom vowed never, ever to send out something called a Mass E-Mail, to all of our wonderful clients, unless it was something very specific to our business.  But desperate means call for desperate measures (that's what my Gram says) and so, we sent out an e-mail to about 2000 people.    Stand Back!   Get out of the way of the avalanche of answers!  People had questions and wanted photos, and more information, and many, many, many people wanted to have Buffy & Beeper stay with them. My Gram had something called a Nervous Breakdown.

Finally a decision was made, and yesterday they went to their new Foster Living Space.   Ms. Michelle is the wonderful lady who took them in, when she already had two small dogs and two kitties, but she has a nice big house and a nice big fenced yard, and of course, she has a nice big heart.    It was really love at first sight for everyone!   And you know what else is so amazing?   Ms. Michelle has been a wonderful client of Everything & The Dog for many, many years, and because she now has two cute dogies named Kodie & Birchie, she has two wonderful dog walkers from our company who come to her home two times every day to let them outside and to play with them.     Those nice ladies are Kim Fields and Beth Cox and tomorrow they will meet with Buffy & Beeper and it is one BIG HAPPY FAMILY over there.

My Gram says the only problem is the Beeper seems to be fascinated by the cats living there (Charlie and Oliver), so Beeper forgot her manners yesterday and was barking at the cats and being annoying.  Miss Michelle says this will sort itself out.    I suspect that Beeper will get a big scratch on her nose and that will be that.    Score one for the Kitty.     It has been my experience that when dog meets cat, dog usually looses.    Cats are very, very smart and very, very sneaky.

So, by now, I'm sure that all of you would like to see a photo graph of the famous Buffy and her sister the equally famous Beeper.    This is a terrible picture.    Ms. Estelle took them with her telephone.     If Ms. Bev used her telephone for the taking of Photo Graphs, I don't think Ms. Bev would be famous.   My Mom says this will do until Ms. Bev can connect and take some photo graphs of all four members of the World's Latest Big Happy Family of Four Mixed up Terrier Breeds (or as my Mom says: Birchie and His Bitches!)

This is a photo graph of Buffy, The Beige and Scruffy One.   You can't really see her sister, Beeper, in this photo because Beeper is busy chowing down.  Nice profile, however.

And this is Beeper, or, as my Mom, calls her - Beep-Beep.     Does she not have the cutest little face in the entire world?

And so, The Princess will keep you all informed of how this all progresses.   I am sure that Miss Michelle will have some pretty fun adventures with her little Tangle of Terriers, and she will tell us all about it, won't you Miss Michelle?

Love and Licks
The Princess

I am so glad that Buffy and Beeper FINALLY got a great home! I was sending out emails to all the older people I knew to see if they wanted to foster and no one seemed to click. This is sooo exciting! Props to Estelle for her love and caring for these two cuties
