Pet Parents Day

Did all of you know that Sunday, April 27th (which is only a couple of days from this day) -  is Pet Parents Day?  I think this is something like Mother's Day and Father's Day, but more wonderful.  We found out about it because our beautiful pet sitting person, Ms. Nicole, sent my Gram a card wishing her a happy day.

Now let me tell you something.  It is about time that somebody decided that this is a good thing to celebrate.  Did you know that almost 50% of the people who share their home with their pets, think about those pets as their own true kids?    I know my Mom and my Gram couldn't get along without me, but I also know that if I didn't have my Mom and my Gram, I would be in deep trouble.    Who would buy me toys, collars, special food, blankies, treats and almost anything else I ask for?   My Mom, that is who.    And who would help me with my Blogging Business?  My Gram does that for me.    And then of course there is my Dad who is currently working very hard in our garden, so I will have a beautiful, scenic, wonderful smelling, place to poop.    And of course, my Dad is growing the asparagus plants that I bite off just when they are tender and sweet.    So I have a happy family around me and I'm glad about the invention of this day.

It is the wonderful people at VPI  (Veterinary Pet Insurance) who thought about making this day.   This Sunday, April 27th is the first year officially, but from now going on forever, it will be the last Sunday of every year.

If you would like to find out more about VPI, you can have your Mouse Man take you to them and while you are at it you can send someone you love an e-card, which is quite beautiful.  I sent one to my Mom and to my photo taking wonder woman, Ms. Bev Hollis  (on that one I had to sign dumb ole' Bob's name too).

So fly away to: Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI)  and learn all about this wonderful company and while you are there you can click on the cute little send a card place and thank your Pet Parent for all the poop they scoop and all the love they give you.   Show everyone you know that you are glad The Princess told you all about this, and please don't tell my Dad that I'm the one who bites off the top of his asparagus.   Tell him Bob did it.

Love and Licks,
Daisy

    Dear Daisy and Bob
Thank you so much for my Pet Parent's Day Card! I have been working very hard for the last week at a photography seminar that will help me make you both look even better! There were no dogs at this school only a few silly horses.. I will send a sample to your Gram.

    Love,
    Bev

Dear Bev:   I am not a huge fan of horses.   They have very large teeth.
I'm glad you liked your card.

    Daisy,
I have known all along that you are the one behind the asparagus theivery but, like your mom, I support a healthy diet for you. You need something to offset all that bacon you eat. While you're at it, please help me with those horrible asparagus beetles.
    Dad

    Dear Dad
I would find it very difficult to get within a hundred yards of an asparagus beetle.    I think I'll just skip the asparagus patch this year.
    Love,
    Your Daisy-Girl
