Mother's Day with The Princess

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO MY BEAUTIFUL MOM

Sometimes in the very smallest part of my heart, I wonder about my Dog Mom.  I don't really know too much about her, except for the fact that she gave birth to me.    That was an ordeal, I should imagine, as having lots of baby bulldogs can be difficult.    I also know that my Mom was probably the ugliest Bulldog on the face of Planet Earth.   When I was very small, I too, was not very attractive.   In fact, it was not until I was about a year old that I blossomed into the Beautiful Bulldog that I am today.   The Princess.   Me.  Daisy.

But today is not all about me.   364 other days from the year are definately about me and always will be, but today I have reserved for my Mom, my Gram, my Omi, and of course my original Mom.  The one with four legs and a very ugly face.   But kind.    And loving because she gave me away to my two leg Mom which must have been a difficult thing to do at the time.    Of course, each time she licked my little face, she probably thought to herself, "oh boy, this one looks like her father!"

So here I am.   The Beautiful Bulldog officialy known as Lewsen's Princess Daisy Dawg.     But please, you can call me Princess for short.

My Dad, who as many of our friends, our family, and my Dad's very happy cooking clients, already know, is a marvelous cooking man.    It is called a Chef.     Like that program on the television, my Dad is Top Chef in our house.    He makes wonderful parties for our clients, and he always cooks wonderful, healthy meals for my Mom.  When my Dad is not around my Mom and my Gram sneak out to the driving through places to eat and promise each other they won't tell my Dad about it.  Sometimes in the middle of the night my Mom eats chips with plastic sauce from a can which she thinks is cheese.    Definately do NOT tell my Dad about that one.

So, because I am the Princess, and I have asked my Mouse Man very nicely to take me to a wonderful place I found for getting facts, I have learned some interesting facts about Mother's Day.

Listen up.    According to the National Restaurant Association, Mother's Day is now the most popular day of the year to dine out at a restaurant in the United States.  This of course makes my Uncle Marshall, very, very happy, because he is a very important person at a fine dining establishment in Denver, Colorado, and happy people put a lot of tipping into his pocket on this day.   You go, Uncle Marsh.   Be sure to send The Princess a small gift.  Think about this one.  Americans are expected to spend close to $3.51 billion dollars this year on dining out, with brunch and dinner being the most popular options.  That could buy The Princess a lot of kibble, collars and designer dog beds.

Back to my Dad.    We do not need to go anyplace today for our Mother's Day Brunch.   My wonderful Pop is doing all of the cooking and making a fantastic brunch for everyone to enjoy, even me.    Not Bob.   Bob already had his breakfast.  He is a baby and can't wait past 8am to eat or he starts to whine.  Poor Gram.  I wonder how she can stand to listen to that stupid-head.

Happy Mother's Day to ALL of the wonderful Mom's and Gram's and Omi's  that we know and love.   The Princess is very happy to share this day with everyone. But please.   Don't ask me to share The Brunch.    That one is all mine.

Love,

Daisy

By the way, I do like to give credit where the credits are due, so if you ask your Mouse Man to take you to Mother's Day Facts from Wikipedia you too, will be able to learn anything you want to know about Mother's Day.  Gram says that once there, we can surf all over the place to increase our already vast store of trivial things to know about.    However, I think that one can help add information to the every growing assortment of things already in The Wikipedia, and my Gram says that might be dangerous if we started telling everyone the truth as it is known by The Princess.      Or, God forgive, as Bob thinks things are in the world.    So have fun!  And again, many loving licks from me to you on your Special Day of being a Mom.
