Delivery Days

I admit it.    Lately I have had a little too much time on my paws, since I'm not really feeling like doing some of the recreational pastimes I used to do.    Generally my day consists of which one of my fine beds I should nap in, and how long should I nap.

This week, however, I have been visited not one time, but two times, by the Men in Blue.  That would be Federal Express.     I like our UPS man, of course, but our FedEx man is quite nice too.   I'm so glad they know where the Princess lives and don't get lost out in our woods and eaten by a bear.   That would be unfortunate.

So first, my wonderful new friend in Vermont, Norman, sent me an entire box full of wonderful Wagatha's (oh my, oh my - breakfast, lunch and dinner, right there!) and he sent my Mom and my Grammy some cute little note cards AND for my Mom (because she claimed it faster than Gram) a very beautiful, very, very classy drinking cup for road trips.    So everyone was gifted in my home on that day.  Well not Bob, but once I open the tins, I will give him one biscuit for his very own.

Then today, what should arrive, but yet another small brown box with my name upon it.   From my friend Sandee Szabo who is also a wonderful dog walker working with us in Ashburn.   Sandee always thinks about me, The Princess, and is very kind and generous.

This box had yet another box of tasty treats, this time from Wet Noses - with no corn, no wheat and no soy written right on the front of the box.  It's a very, very cute little brown box with a big pawprint cut-out, through which one can see the fine cookies inside.   Peanut Butter & Molasses.    Yum, indeed.

And two beautiful tags for my collar and I intend to have my Mom put BOTH of them on right now because I know they will remind me to "Think Pawsitive" and will remind the world to "Protect My Pet & Companion"     Aren't those just the most lovely sentiments.   I guess finding a tag that said "Get This Tumor Off my Heart and Into Outer Space Where it Can Explode"  would be asking a bit much.

As it would happen, the gifts from Ms. Sandee came through The Greater Good Network.   I had been unaware of this organization prior to now, but by way of explanation it would appear that when you visit their web site you can become involved in breast cancer awareness, animal welfare, hunger, rainforest preservation, children's health, and literacy and when you shop in their store, every purchase you make gives even more funding to the causes that are important to you.    My box said that 42 bowls of food got sent out because of Ms. Sandee and her shopping.     Isn't that amazing?    I am going to become an investigative reporter in my spare time and do some research, so I can tell you more about this.    I had been, after all, looking for a new career, and I believe that one can be done from my various bed locations.

So thanks to Norman and to Sandee, I have many fine biscuits in my biscuit jar, and many good wishes in my heart.     And the Fed Ex Man is cute, too.

Love and Licks,
Princess Daisy
