Gosh
Hi Everyone
It's me again. Bob. You know? Stupid-Head?
I got so many letters yesterday and today, so I figured out in my head that I had friends just like Daisy had friends. Well, O.K. not so many, but a few. My Mom says "Rome wasn't built in a day". I don't know what that means. Do you? If it is like the treehouse Mr. Pat is building on our land, then I know that it's taking a long time.
Actually, I like that tree house. I can run up a slope and hop inside of it. There aren't any frogs up there so it's pretty boring.
Thank you for liking me. I'll try to be a good reporter just like Daisy was, but since I'm not so old or anything, I think this will be a lot of work. Lydia says she has faith in me and that I can pull it off. I can't figure what is on that needs to come off, but I'm trying.
Love,
Your New Friend
Bob
Gram says for me to remind everyone that I am a very scary PitBull. You are afraid, aren't you? Guess what? That's a JOKE, just like Daisy used to make.
Happy Dreams!

Darling Bob,
I would like to introduce you to my dog (Blazer), he's a little miniature poodle and to my kitty (Kimber). From time to time these two like to sneak onto gramma's computer and write messages. I already know that Blazer likes you, a lot! From when he first saw your picture, he told me that he'd like to be buddies with you. I think that's a fine idea! Little Kimber may be a bit shy of a "big, scary Pit Bull" haha, but he has loved 2 dogs in his life very much and I'm sure he will love you, too.
I'm so happy when I open my email and see your new messages. You are truly a brave dog, Bob. If you really want to continue this blog, I admire you so much. It's a tough job and you are still a baby, but we all want to know how you are doing and want to hear all the news you want to share. You're a good boy, Bob.
Love, slurps, slobbers & MEOW!
Vicki, Blazer & Kimber

Hey Bob!
You are SO handsome!
I'm gonna tell you(and only you)a little secret-while I love and try to rescue any dog...my very favorite breed is the "oh so scary" PitBull! I have 2, and have learned that you guys can do anything that you set your hearts out to do-so I have great faith in you! Yes; you do have big shoes to fill-Daisy did the ultimate job. But ya know what? You'll get there one tail wag at a time.
Oh, Miss Kathy. Thank you so much. I did not know that I had so many new friends. It is making me really happy. And thank you for saying I am handsome. Sometimes people say I am beautiful and that is kind of girlie-girlie I think.
Did you know that writing is very, very hard work? I wondered why Daisy was always taking a beauty nap. Man. I am spending a lot of time in my box, asleep.
Do you understand why so many people are afraid of PitBulls? I went everywhere with my Mom when I was just a tiny baby and so I have never met anyone that I didn't like, but sometimes people jump out of my way. My Mom always explains that my four leg Mom & Dad were weight pulling champions. They always want to know if I am going to do that too. Ha. Writing might be hard but it doesn't involve any body parts except the brain, just the way I like it!
My tail is wagging and I am hoping to always do the best work I can. My Mom says that is all anyone can expect.
Licks and slobbers,
Bob

Dear Cousin Bob,
My mom said that I should write and tell you that you are doing a wonderful job as a reporter. I am a big scary pit bull too -- my mom said she emailed you a photo of me sleeping with my sister, Sheba, and you can see how tough I am, even though she calls it my peaceful pose. I'm not sure what peaceful is, do you?
Anyway, I wanted to let you know that I know how much you miss the Princess -- I never got a chance to meet her, but she was my cousin too, and I miss her. My mom said that she is at a beautiful place right now, and I told her I want to go there too, and she said that I couldn't right now, but someday a looooooong time from now I could.
So until then, I guess it's up to you and me to protect the world from frogs -- oooh, and turtles -- do you have any of those in your yard? We have one and I really try to get him to come out of his little shell and play, but no matter how hard I push him with my nose, he just stays in there. Sometimes I push him so hard that he falls over on his back, and then my mom yells at me and tells me to leave him alone, so I do.
But I don't roll on him like you roll on the frogs. Seriously, Cousin, we've got to talk about that. You've got to stop doing that, you're going to give us pit bulls a bad reputation if you keep that up!
Take care of yourself, and please give your family a BIG hug and sloppy kiss from me and my mom (OK, the kiss is just from me, she wanted to make sure I cleared that up...)
Love and licks,
Cousin SMURF
Dear Smurf
I did not know that I had so many friends. I am so lonely without Daisy because she always told me what I had to do every day and now I have no one to tell me that. It is scary being a writer and telling people what I am thinking.
Last night I saw an alive frog. My Mom said it was a toad. Oh, gee, it scared me so much. It was orange and it could really hop! I have never seen a turtle. Do they bite?
Thanks for writing to me. Can you do that again some time so I know I am writing o.k. stuff?
Your friend and cousin,
Bob

Hi again Cousin Bob,
I read your reporting story about seeing an alive frog -- how exciting! We have an alive frog in our yard too -- my mom says he's a toad, but she calls him Froggie, so I am just really confused. All I know is he can hop a lot, and he likes to sit very still and wait until I get right on top of him, then he hops and it makes me hop, and I fall over, and my mom just laughs and laughs.
I don't think our turtle bites, but he never comes out of his shell for me to find out. My mom says I probably don't want to find out, so I should leave him alone, but GOSH, how can I when he's so facinating?
Yours in froggie goodness,
Cousin SMURF

Bob -
It's gratifying to see a hen-pecked housemate finally have his day in the sun. This has got to be KILLING Daisy as she looks down. I can just hear her snorting and fuming. So far you are sort of fulfilling Daisy's proclamations about you being a few cards short of a deck but I just think you heard her say it for too long. You remind me of a kid who is told they are stupid until the day one teacher sees their special qualities. Right now, the main thing you have going for you is that you are a Gorgeous Hunk. I don't want to sound superficial but we live in a superficial world. I want to suggest how you can capitalize on this moment and put yourself out there as the Pitbull Poster Boy. Given your amazing good looks, your sweet nature and your humility, I think you could single-handedly restore your lovely breed to their rightful place in the American family. Meanwhile, say a little nighty-night prayer to daisy every night or she may throw daggers down on you for stepping into the limelight she illuminated.
Daisy's (and your) Auntie Tracie
Dear Auntie Tracie
It makes me so happy when you tell me I am o.k. I know that you know everything about dogs (and those pesky cats too), so now I don't feel so stupid. I always thought maybe I could have some opinions, but Daisy was in charge and since she always seemed to know everything, it did seem like I know nothing.
I admit I'm not smart like Daisy was, but I will always try to do my best.
Thank you for loving me.
Bob

Dear Bob;
Contrary to popular belief, I don't think you're as dumb as a stump... perhaps a bit misunderstood. You're a real trooper and have endured much, but it's your time to shine! How would you feel about modeling for our web site as an ambassador for Wagatha's? We'd love to use an image of Daisy as well as our way to honor her. So.... Mr. Workman... you had your chance. Kind regards,
Norman

Why, Bob, just look at all the supporters you have! We're all rooting for you, good buddy! Bob is finally finding his "star" and I owe his Aunt Tracie Hotchner for leading me to this blog in the first place. I just wish I had found it sooner, but my wishing won't undo anything. At least I'm here now to root you on!
Love, Auntie Vicki, Blazer & Kimber (Meow!)
