Bad Food
Me again, Bob.
I have just received a new flash and it might not be good news for some people who have purchased dog food made by Mars Petcare US.
It seems that their dry pet food products produced in Everson, Pennsylvania between February 18 and July 29 might have salmonella bugs. Oh boy. This isn't good.
The people at Mars made a news release and said that 31 states in the United States and a lot of different brands may be involved and so this action was a "precaution".
The brand names include some items under the names Country Acres, Retriever, Doggy Bag, Members Mark, Natural, Ol' Roy, Special Kitty, Paws & Claws, Pedigree, Wegman's, Pet Pride, PMI Nutrition and Red Flannel.
The company said consumers should look for "17" as the first two digits of the second line on the UPC for products affected. For Pedigree products, they should look for "PAE" on the bottom line.
They can also call (877) 568-4463 or consult www.petcare.mars.com
I hope this is the information that you need to make sure you do not have this food inside of your home, or worse yet, inside the tummies of your dogs.
Michele Hall is one of our wonderful dog walkers/pet sitters in the Ashburn area. She told me all about the Food Danger and told me to send my Mouse Person to CBS News so I would have the right information to pass along. My Mom says I am very responsbile to say thank you to Michele and give her the credits for telling me all about this. She says this is the sign of a Grown Up! Wow.
Licks,
Bob

Ha....that is where my Mom found that really, really long word, extraordinaire......she told me she always knew it, but she was maybe making it up (the always knew it part). Here it is, in print from my Mouse Person, just in! (that's what reporting people say, by the way....."this just in, Bob!" HA!
I think I am a Self-Starter Extraordinaire. Yep, that's me.
