Gold For A Cause

Hi Everyone, it's me. Bob.

Don't worry about me, I'm o.k.     I was sick as a dog (this is a joke, Mom says) for the last two days and yesterday could barely get around, but Dr. Bev Hollis who is a wonderful vet doctor in addition to being a wonderful photo taker, gave me some magic medicine and today, I am feeling much better.   I guess I will have mostly steamed rice for dinner again, but since I like it, that's o.k.     I'm sure you figured out that I had some indigestion issues.

My Mom says if I would stop running around in the woods eating who know's what, I would probably not get upset in my belly.   Dr. Bev was concerned that I had eaten a sock or something, but, please.   I am not the brightest bulb in the box, but I'm not THAT stupid.

Anyway.   I'm better.

Tomorrow in Leesburg there is a very special event that we wanted to tell you all about.   I should have told you sooner, but my Mom was busy taking care of me and our office and she is the typing person.   Sorry.

This is what we got in a message from a very special store in Leesburg, on West Market Street.   The name of the store is Petite Dekor ...and so much more.     They said:

"A Leesburg family desperately needs your help.  Their 4 year old daughter, Madeleine Baet, has cancer and has been undergoing chemo treatment.  She is scheduled for surgery at the end of September.  My heart goes out to this family as they fight this disease with their little angel and, in addition, must also endure the fear associated with the financial burden that medical treatment incurrs.  Petite Dekor is sponsoring an event that will PAY YOU MONEY so that you can find it in your heart to give a percent of your NEW FOUND MONEY to Madeleine!

Do you have any outdated rings, broken chains, gifts from old boyfriends/girlfriends, stuff sitting in your jewelry box for years?  Bring it in to Petite Dekor on Oct 4th and get cash right then! 10% of the cash value of all the gold jewlery purchased that day will be donated to the Baet family.

Here is how it works:  The Gold Refinery tests the grade of gold (10K, 14K or higher), weighs it and then gives you cash on the spot.  At the end of the day, they will pay Petite Dekor 10% of all gold purchased in cash.  We will then donate to the Baet family.

We will also have light refreshments, face painting, mini spa treatments while you wait and so much more!"

PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW!

So it's me again, Bob.    Me talking now:

So that is what is happening in Leesburg tomorrow and just think how happy little Maddy will be if her Mom and Dad don't have to worry so much about money.  If you want some more informtion about this you can send an e-mail to email@petitedekor.com or phone them up at 703 777 7030.

And while you are at it, this is my Mom and my Sister's very favorite store for cute little two-legged people things.  I don't think it would be appropriate for them to shop there for me, although a nice soft baby blanket would have come in very handy yesterday when my tummy hurt.

Happy October, Everyone....and go get your gold!

Bob

Oh, Bob! I was getting so worried about you I almost emailed your Mom to make sure everything was OK. Now, I find out you've been a sick little Bobby Bunny and that makes me feel bad (probably not as bad as you were feeling, though). I'm glad you are feeling better and that Dr. Bev Hollis had the right remedy to help you feel better.

I'm also pleased that you are posting for the Petit Dekor & the Baet family. I hope the little 4 year old girl will be OK after receiving her chemo. This has to be really tough on that family. I wish I lived in Leesburg, sometimes. That way I could come over and play with you, Bob. We've never met, but I do think the world of you and, honey, it's good to hear you are starting to feel better.

    Hi Gang

I'm sorry I made you worry and now my Mom tells me that she has fallen behind on her duties - the only one worth doing, I think - which is handling my fan mail.    Recent comments have not been posted.

Mom, Mom, Mom.    What am I going to do with you?   Obviously some severe punishment is in order.   I believe I will push the mattress AND the feather beds onto the floor, move the couch and chairs and just generally rearrange our furniture.

What's that you say........oh.      You are sorry?   O.K.    I'm going to do it anyway.

    Love,

    Bob
