Thanks, Leesburg

So not only is our Town of Leesburg helping us with a Dog Park, the event, last Sunday the 12th was a huge success.   And yes, I did get to go and report the news, even though I thought for a little bit that I was to be left at home. Remember it was called Dog Days in Leesburg?    After so many of my Blogging Friends wrote to my Mom and my sister, Lydia, and told them that of course, Reporter Extraordinary - me Bob - needed to go.

But we had to take Baby Lily with us, and of course she absolutely stole the show.    I was busy trying to make friends and tell everyone how wonderful our business really is, but everyone just walked past me and wanted to talk about Lily.     I guess, now that we have a new BullDog in our family, I'm just chopped liver.

Remember when Rusty and my Mom and my sister and me all went on the Arthritis Walk in the summer?   Remember we told everyone that Mom bought a very fancy pet-stroller so Rusty (who has arthritis) could participate?  Well.... now Baby Lily has a Baby Buggy.   Ha!   It is very fancy, and we parked her in the shade under our tent and it seems like thousands of people came to see her.       Maybe one or two talked to me.

Oh well.  I'm still in charge of the Nanny Business in our home.

Dog Days in Leesburg was an amazing event and really, there were thousands it seemed in attendance.  The weather was very beautiful and lots and lots of dogs came by, and some people even came from Washington, D.C. and from West Virginia and from Maryland.      Leesburg is really going to the dogs and of course, that makes us very happy.      Everyone needs to tell the people in charge of Dog Events, to keep it up!   We want to do this next year too, and I'm betting that Lily will still be the star of our show.        I have to admit that with a face like an angel, I can't possibly be jealous if Lily steals the show.   I'm still Bob.     I really don't want to be a star, I just want to run in the woods with the deer and be myself.   I'm sure everyone can understand that.

A very, very nice man stopped by our booth and took some excellent pictures of Lily and my sister, Lydia.   He was so kind to share them, and we asked him if we could Blog about him and his photography, which is his hobby not his job.   We think he needs to quit his day job.      So take a look at these:

Our booth was right in front of GeorgeTown Cafe and a very, very nice man, named Sam, who works in the Cafe, was one of the few people who thought I was more interesting than Lily.   He even took me for a run around the block.   I loved him.   My Mom says some time we'll drive down there just to see Sam.   That would be very, very cool.

So here is another picture that Mr. Vargas took on that fine day:

Again, this is my favorite time of the day for Lily!  Naptime.

If you would like to see more of the amazing pictures from Efrain Vargas you can ask your nice Mouse Person to take you to look at  Efrain's Beautiful Art on Flickr    My Mom says he  needs to be winning some prizes!

So, I think I might be all caught up in the news about Leesburg and Lily department.    I'm really trying to be more timely in my reporting, but as you all know, my Mom ignores me completely most of the time, especially when I beg to blog.   She says begging doesn't become me.     But what else can I do?   There is little chance I'm getting opposible thumbs anytime in the near future, and the keyboard is just beyond me.

Dearest Reporter Bob who is on the job in Leesburg, VA.

Wow, Lily gets cuter with every picture. Those little black spots on her nose are so swet and I love her tiny Howl-o-ween collar! She looks so content while she sleeps and, you're right, this Efrain Vargas is quite the photographer! Thanks again, Bob, for sharing your news and your Mom & sister Lydia are just awestruck right now over the baby; believe me, they love you very much and any lack of attention will only be temporary.

    Love, Blazer & Mom (Vicki)

Dear Miss Vicki and BFF Blazer

I am so tired.   Do you know how sharp baby bulldog teeth are?  I just asked another one of my friends if they knew the answer to this question.

Monday night, after I worked all day herding Lily around, I simply had to collapse when we got into our home and my working was over.

Do you think I will be able to make it though Lily's dog/baby/child-hood?   Oh My.   Where is Mary Poppins, when I need her?     I'm getting myself an umbrella!

    Kisses and Licks,
    Bob
