Uncle Bob
I am so excited. Look at this! This is my new baby, Lily

Thanks of course to our wonderful Bev Hollis, who took pictures of our new baby in the family. We call her Lily of The Valley. Or Little Lil, or Lily Lovebug, or Silly Lily or whatever else seems to fit at the time. I am so excited to be an Uncle, and I am The Official Nanny also.
I am a wonderful Nanny, so says my Mom! I had a Nanny dog when I was just a little baby and he took excellent care of me, so now it is my turn. Rusty and Scarlett like Lily also, but I have to make sure no one steps on her, or tells her what the rules are in our home. That is MY job. Me, Uncle Bob.
No new dog will ever take the place of my best friend, Daisy, who passed away on August 18, but my Mom is pretty convinced that Daisy somehow arranged for us to have Lily in our lives. Lily was born exactly one week after Princess Daisy passed away and we only accidently stumbled upon her because my Mom was taking her own Mouse Person for a ride around cyberspace.
So we are all very, very happy in our home now. You will all have a chance to watch Lily grow up with us, because Miss Bev will be taking her picture ALL of the time.
And so, speaking of pictures, look at this one:

This is my favorite time of the day. Naptime. No one actually told me that being a Nanny was such hard work. But can't you just smell the puppy breath from here?
Love and Licks and Baby Kisses,
Bob and Lily

I was going to say that pictures could not be as cute as the real thing - but I was wrong.
I actually met (and held) Lily yesterday; THE CUTEST puppy I have ever seen - hands down. These pictures by Bev Hollis really did her justice.
Unlike my dog, who looks better in pictures than real life (sorry Belle).
Dear Miss Carolyn
I do not think it was kind of you to say that darling little Belle was not attractive in person. Please give her a huge kiss from me and tell her that "beauty is only skin deep". This is what my Mom said, and frankly, I'm not at all certain what it means exactly, but I have seen pictures of darling Belle and my Mom has met her and Mom says she is a cutie pie Snoodle.
Again, I'm not sure what a cutie pie is. I know all about apple pie and cherry pie, so if you get the opportunity, perhaps you can explain what kind of fruit or vegetable goes into a cutie pie.
My Mom says the wierdest stuff sometimes.
And thank you for coming to visit Lily. And thank you for bringing her a Flea and a Tick. (so everyone knows --- those were not alive, but were fluffy little toy things). Frankly, I am a bit crazy with trying to keep all of Lily's new toys away from our Scarlett. Scarlett has a hoarding problem and sometimes can't even get into her crate because there are so many toys and blankets and bones in there.
Being a nanny is tough,
Love,
Bob
