Ivy O.

THIS IS OUR FRIEND, IVY O.
Is she not just the cutest little thing, sitting in the pile of leaves?

You know how sometimes I like to tell everyone about how wonderful our sitters are and show you pictures of the pups that they take care of?     This is a good example to show you.    Ivy O. is being taken care of just now by our wonderful Miss Jewel.      Miss Jewel is our sitter who comes to our home and helps my bro, Rusty, with his Reiki treatments.     When Miss Jewel finishes helping Rusty, he is like a whole new DOG.   Still long and short, but able to jump around and play and just generally do all of the things one wants from a Big Brother.

But back to Ivy.     Ivy is a White Schnauzer.   My Mom said she didn't think Schnauzer's came in the color of white, but obviously my Mom knows nothing, as here is photo graphic proof that they do.     Ivy's Mom (and Dad) just got married and so Miss Jewel is living at Ivy's home for over two weeks while Ivy's parents have a HoneyMoon.   Mom says Miss Jewel and Ivy are "holding down the fort".      Do you suppose that means they are trying to keep the house from flying away and landing on someone?   Someone like me?     I tell you, this whole thing about the flying houses, flying monkeys and flying frogs has me very, very concerned.

So.  Back to Ivy O.   We asked Miss Jewel to tell us what Ivy's favorite game to play way, and Miss Jewel said it was called Reverse Fetch.    This means:
    Throw the Ball
        Ivy runs to Ball
Ivy flips the Ball up into the air with her nose
Ivy runs back without the Ball
Miss Jewel runs to get the Ball
                        Start over

So basically, Miss Jewel is doing the actual fetching and Ivy is just running and flipping (and laughing at Miss Jewel).

Oh.   And raspberries.    Ivy loves to have someone blow raspberries on her belly.   At first I wasn't sure what that was, but Mom reminded me it is what she does to our Lily in order to make Lily laugh.    Frankly, I do not think that sounds like anything I want to have any part of.   Why would you want to have someone blow fruit on your belly?

So.   Thanks to Miss Jewel for sharing her Ivy O. with us.     Ivy was pretty sad at first because she did not get to go on the HoneyMoon.    But then we told her that having Miss Jewel stay with her and for her to be the total center of attention for two plus weeks, was like her own private DoggyMoon.      Ivy is now happy.   When they return, Miss Jewel promises to show Ivy's parents the rules for Reverse Fetch and also exactly how to hold down the fort!

Still worried about Flying Homes (or Forts),
Bob
