Great Idea

One of our wonderful friends by the name of Miss Helen, sent me a very special e-mail and asked me to tell EVERYONE (and their dogs) about this great Idea.   Here it is:

GREAT IDEA!

When doing your Christmas cards this year, take one card and send it to this address.  If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these wonderful special people who have sacrificed so much would get.

When you are making out your Christmas card list this year, please include the following:

           A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical  Center
        6900 Georgia Avenue,NW
        Washington,D.C. 20307-5001

If you approve, please pass it on.

If for some reason you don't do Christmas just send a thank you card during this time of the season to thank these fine men and women who have sacrificed so much for you to have the privilege to live in American and be free to choose how you want to live and worship!

My sister, Lydia has already sent one card, but we are going to send out several.   Mom says she will do to the Hallmark Store today and purchase some cards, but we don't think we can find one with a happy PitBull on it.  Mom says that is perfectly O.K. because we can print a little picture of me and put it into the card and also give them our Blog address so they can visit when they are feeling well.

I am so excited about this!  It makes me happy!

Bob, Your Friend

And guess what.  My Mom just tried to put in a picture and it worked, it worked, it worked.   I am going to now show you the very special Thanksgiving Day card that our wonderful Miss Bev made for me to share with you!  This picture, of course is from ALL of us here in the office, Lily - Rusty - Scarlett and of course me!     Maybe we can send a copy of this to the soldiers!

Bob, You are prolific today, now that you got the pictures working again. I think writing to the men and women at Walter Reed is a great idea. My dad was hospitalized for over a year during WWII (way before the both of us). The Army gave him TB! Wasn't that special. But he got all better because he had some great care and he was also a doctor too. So he took care of himself and knew what to do. Anyway, we need to let these folks know we are thinking of them ALL year 'round. I think that may be the topic of MY next blog! Bob, you are in inspiration! Your buddy, ET

Thanks, ET..... I KNEW it was a great idea the moment I saw it and if you Blog about it too we will get a lot more coverage.   My Mom says this is called Bang for Your Buck.      I am not EVEN going to try and figure out what the heck she is talking about.

But since it really only costs a little bit of our money, which my Mom says is a bit tight right now, I think we will do it a lot.   And they must have computers in that place?  Walter Reed Army Medical Center?   So I want to include my Blogging Business address so they can entertain themselves with me.

Actually, Mom said we should just drive down there and see if they would let me visit!

Your Buddy Also, only with 4-legs
Bob-Boo   (that's what my Mom calls me - but don't tell anyone, it is a secret)
