The Twelve Days of Christmas
I'm not actually sure about this fact. I want to make that clear right up front so no one thinks I am not doing a good job. I just am confused as to when to begin counting.
If we start today, however and count on our paws, then in twelve days it will be CHRISTMAS EVE. I am so excited. Do you know what this means? It means that within hours a Partridge and a Pear Tree will be arriving on my door. We have a pear tree in our very own back yard that drops very delicious pears onto our ground in the late summer, but I have never seen a Partridge.
So I woke up my grumpy Mouse Person, who was very tired already and Christmas isn't even here, and asked it to find me a Partridge Picture. Here it is;
Now, because I am trying very hard to not make any more mistakes, I want to tell you that there are two kinds of partridges in our country. These are game birds, by the way, and one is called a Chukar Partridge and one is called a Gray Partridge. This photo graph is of a Chukar Partridge. Oh, and the partridge belongs to the pheasant family.
Here is another important fact. The partridge was first introduced to North America in 1889 when the gray partridge was brought into Virginia. Can you believe that? Right here in our own back-yard! So I have still never seen one, but now we ALL know what to look for when the pear tree arrives at our door.
I'm really excited about these Twelve Days cause I am hoping to have lots of new facts to tell you about, and not to mention, some wonderful gifts for me, Bob. This is fun.
Speaking about gifts. Do you know how hard it is to take your Mouse Person and go shopping because you have to try to find things in so many places? Well once again, because of my amazing reporting skills, I have found the perfect place for you to go. This is possibly My Favorite Place of All for the finding of very cool stuff.
This is the address for DOG ART TODAY Go there right now and see how terrific it is. Every single day there is more and more stuff to see and to do and to buy and to just have fun looking at and reading about. My Mom says that sometimes that is all we can do ---- read about the things we might want and dream about them. But you know what? That is O.K. I think if we forget about THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS, it is not a good thing. No one needs to go shopping and spending money to have the perfect holiday season. Sometimes it is o.k. to just dream.
But if you want to shop and you want to find the most wonderful presents that are all about Dogs, then go and visit Ms. Moira McLaughlin at her wonderful place on our Internet World.
Because I want to give you just a tiny peak at some thimgs you can buy for Christmas Presents, look at these:

Because I am having so much fun today, I am not going to tell you ANYTHING AT ALL about these amazing gifts, because I want you to go and visit Ms. Moira and see EVERYTHING. Please pack a small snack, because you are going to be really busy and have so much fun, you might need to eat a little something so you can see everything.
So.
I am feeling so much better about my reporting skills today, because not only have I told you all about Partridges, I have managed to find you Ms. Moira. I think I have redeemed myself for making my mistake about the Christmas Card sending to soldiers. Now I am going to lay on my porch and watch for the arrival of our Partridge Containing Pear Tree.
Love and Licks and Start Counting the Days,
Bob
