THE MIDDLE POINT: 6 Down, 6 To Go
So today the darn birds are back!
I knew they would be because last night my Mom was singing me the entire song and beside taking up a LOT of our time, I got a sneak peak at what is to come. More birds. This is, my Mom says, like an Alfred Hitchcock Movie. I don't know who that man is, but he must have been one sick puppy to think up a movie about deranged birds. My Mom said they were deranged, I didn't just make that up. A good reporter does NOT make up facts, no matter how desperate he is for news.
But here is something fun.
You can make a big, big copy of this picture of the birds laying in the bed (get the joke?) and then - remember I was telling you about crayons? You can get out your box of crayons and COLOR THEM. Ha! Would that not be a lot of fun?
That's it for today, me and my Mom are tired tonight.

Wow, Bob, you're right! We could make a really big picture of these birds and color them in with crayons. Jolly good idea, my man!
I'm glad you don't make up any facts when you do your reporting, Bob, because you lose "face" and that would not be a good thing (your Mom will have to explain that comment to you). Those Birds in "The Birds" were really deranged; your Mom is absolutely correct about this. Life is tough, Bob, it really is.
