Bring on the Resolutions

I had no idea that making a list of the things that I want to change about myself would be so difficult.   So far I have decided to stay out of the kitchen when my Mom is preparing food products.    My head does not belong in the refrigerator, nor do I need to constantly jump up and down, up and down, like I had springs on my feet.   Our kitchen is very, very small.  I am certain that if you close your eyes and try to visualize this, you can imagine the problem.    Lets just say it looks a lot like this, minus the kitchen counter.  When I am being sensible, I do see the problem.

Actually, that resolution about the refrigerator was on a very nice, David Letterman style, list of the Top 10 New Year's Resolutions for Pets.     I don't feel I have to give up some of the things on the list although I do agree that I should stop suddenly standing up straight when I'm lying under the coffee table.      Did you know I could balance it on my head and jiggle it all around?    Poor Mom.

I've actually been writing to my Best Boy Friend..... meaning, don't forget, that he is a boy and he is my friend.   I've talked to Niles a lot since his Mom is my wonderful friend Miss Bev Hollis.
In case you have forgotten, this is Niles Phineas with the squinty eyes.

This is what my last letter from Niles said to me (and I know he says it is o.k. to share)

Dear Bob

I have been working on my resolutions today.

My very most important one is to get better at helping my mom as a dog model. My sister Lily always does the posing for lighting and stuff. She knows how to "work the camera" if you know what I mean.
This gets her lots of attention and treats.
I always stay around the periphery and usually I get a morsel or two tossed my way as well. BUT, I hate the camera. I try every once in a while but as soon as she goes to click that button I choke. Well, not literally. But I yawn, blink, howl or do something silly.

I really want to be as good as my sister Lily as her posing is getting her a lot of internet exposure. This frustrates me somewhat as she is a shelter dog and well, I am a PBGV... That in itself makes me special don't you think?

Well, anyways, that is my number one resolution.. (I'm also going to try to howl less). It seems to make everyone start yelling all the time.

I have sent your mom a couple pictures to show you what I mean about Lily working the camera and me looking rather silly as usual.

By the way, I think you are doing a great job with the blog. Daisy would be proud!

Your friend Niles Phineas.

And this, my friends is Niles' sister, Lily.     She does look a little more model like and I am certain she has a lot of interest in her wonderful posing skills, but I know LIly, and I can assure you she taunts poor Niles with this information daily.  Just because she can keep her eyes open when the camera clicks.    So?      In my opinion, Niles has very special skills, the most incredible one being his ability to yodel.   I always wanted to do that, so maybe that will be my resolution.   I will learn to howl and yodel, like Niles and maybe I can teach him the PitBull Gurgle which is, as you know, a very special skill.

It's pretty funny that Niles has a Lily in his life, and so do I.    Fortunately for me, my LIly is a little pest, but she doesn't taunt me daily.   Of course it would be very difficult for her to tease me about photo graphing because when I was just a baby, like BullDog Lily, Miss Bev took my picture ALL of the time.    We decided that it would be important for the World to see what a kind, caring, sweet and loving PitBull that I was, and that ALL of my "brothers and sisters in the world of PitBulls" are mostly, exactly, very much like me.

So there you have it.   Some Resolutions for Bob:
Keep my head out of the refrigerator
        Don't leap in the kitchen
Don't raise up the coffee table, even though it is really fun
        Teach Niles to gurgle
Continue my work as a PitBull Ambassador

I think this is about all I can handle at this point in time.   By June, I'll see how I'm doing and as my Mom says, I will re-visit my resolutions and see how it is going.    HA!

Love and New Year's Happiness,
Bob, Boy Wonder

Oh and just in case you have forgotten how to visit Miss Bev Hollis, please wake up your sleeping mouse and direct him to
Visit Niles and Lily's Mom      In addition to having a most wonderful web site of amazing photo graphs, Miss Bev has a very special Blog too.    So have fun!

    Your friend,
    Niles Phineas

Oh boy, oh boy, Niles, I can hardly wait.    I'm guessing that we better do our lessons up at my house since you live in town and someone might not understand our motives.    I'd hate to get us hauled away for noise polution.    HA

    Your BFF,
    Bob
