If Pets Had Thumbs Day

Can you just imagine what all of us pets could do if we had thumbs?   I could probably figure out how to do a LOT of stuff I can't do now.

Our friend, Miss Bev Hollis told me about Tyson, The Skateboarding Bulldog  and I tell you, after I read his story and watched his video, I bet he does have thumbs!  I want to learn how to do this.  I bet there are no other skateboarding PitBulls and as long as Lily doesn't get in my way, I bet I can.   I'm going to have our 2-leg kid, Patrick,  let me borrow his board!  Stay posted after the snow is gone  cause I am doing it!  (if it isn't too scary and doesn't make too much noise)

Here is a photo of Tyson

And we got a very nice e-mail from Charlie The Coyote's Mom, Shreve, and she said we can show you a photo of Charlie, so here goes:

This is, of course, the cover of Charlie's new Book... do you suppose Charlie has thumbs?   I'll need to ask him.
And this photo is of Charlie and his cat friend.

And I am telling you that I KNOW for a fact that cats DO have thumbs because they get into everything and even open doors with their paws and then blame it on dogs in the home.   Cats are very sneaky, in general, and to be that devious, I know there is a thumb in that paw somewhere.     Back to Charlie.  Charlie lives with his kitty friend and with a hound dog named Chloe and of course his Mom.      I am so happy that Charlie has such a wonderful life.  Just like mine!

And what about bunnies?  Do you think they could have thumbs?  Our friend Melinda has many bunnies that my sister, Lydia, cares for when Miss Melinda is gone traveling and one time one of the bunnies climbed out of it's little pen and Lydia had to go find it.  Lydia said it must be Houdini Bun, but I think it has secret thumbs in order to do that!

So here is my advice.  Perhaps you should check all the paws in your home and see if anyone has secret thumbs.  That way you can be prepared for tricky business.   Especially the kitties.  The Tricky Kitties.  HA!

That's it for today.  I have important research to do.

Bob
