1000 Miles Down, 1000 More To Come

We have been talking and talking and blogging and e-mailing everyone (and their dogs) about our wonderful friends Luke Robinson, Hudson and Murphy on their walking journey from Austin, Texas to Boston, Massachutes.    That is  about 2400 miles!    Luke and the boys are walking to raise funds and awareness for finding the CAUSE of canine cancer.  If the cause is found, then the CURE will follow.

Now it has been a year of walking ---- or will be on March 16th.  Can you imagine how sore Luke's feet are?  And the paws of Hudson and Murphy?   I wonder if Luke has those Gellin' thingies for his shoes?

Here is a photograph of our friends!

And here is picture of Hudson

And of Murphy

Murphy looks a little grumpy in this photo, but he is NOT at all.  He was probably just tired from putting up with Hudson.

I love to put in the pictures so that everyone can see how beautiful my friends are........... or in the case of Luke, Hudson and Murphy, rugged and handsome.   In that top picture, the boys had just started their WALKING JOB, so there are very clean and neat.  Now?  Not so much!

So you will know (because I WANT you to know)   Murphy was born on May 31, 2001 and he weighs about 110 pounds.  His hobbies are eating, eating, cuddling, eating and cuddling.   (Just like mine)   His Native American Name is "Poops On Trees"

Hudson was born August 4, 2006 so he is only about five months older than me.  Bob.  I don't know how much he weighs now, but his hobbies are ignoring Luke and chasing Murphy's tail, chewing on Murphy's toes and digging.   His Native American Name is "Poops on Three Legs"

Mom says as of yesterday my Native American Name is "Gets Lost in the Woods".  Geeze, Mom, that was cruel.

So on March 16th there will be a big Celebration at the Community Park East. in (I think) Fairborn, Ohio.   Activities planned for this evening include a memorial walk and a reading of the names from Memorial Shirt 4. If you're interested in being part of the celebration or would like to learn more, please email Ginger at ginger@2dogs2000miles.org. It's not every day 2 dogs and their human walk over 1000 miles in a year, so we hope you'll share this event with them.      Since I am not sure what town that Park Place is in, be sure to check with Ginger first before you go driving somewhere wrong.

And remember, the best thing you can do is to donate money.  We like to donate $25 when we want to have one of our friends honored on a Memorial T-Shirt.  These are, BTW, very wonderful and very attractive.   Our own Princess Daisy is on Shirt #3 with many, many of our Everything & The Dog Clients.     We also love our Puppy Up Bracelet.  AND if you are in the walking path, go and walk a while with our boys, or invite them home for dinner (Luke only eats veggies)

THANKS FOR HELPING!  Oh and listen - this is good idea.  EVERYONE write to The Oprah Show and tell her obout Luke, Hudson and Murphy.  They are like those Angel People that Oprah likes and maybe she can invite them on her show and give them lots of money.  I'm going to do that right now.
