Do you know how important this journey is? Luke and the Boys are making everyone aware of the need to find the cause for canine cancer, as then the cure will follow. And do you know that much of the research can possibly help humans too? We all need to support Luke and his two amazing boys, Hudson and Murphy by thinking of them every day, supporting them and donating whatever money you can in order to help.
This is what Erich has to tell us about today's BIG CELEBRATION
The Anniversary Celebration will start Monday evening, March 16th, at 6:30 PM at the Fairborn Community Park East in Fairborn, Ohio, which is near Dayton. For a map of park's location, which also includes the current local weather, please follow this link: http://www.recreationparks.net/OH/greene/community-park-east-fairborn
Everyone will gather at one of the shelters at the park where there will be delicious cake for people and dogs to enjoy. Glow necklaces will make the twilight walk to the amphitheater more festive. We'll walk to the amphitheater (bring your blanket/cushion) where Luke, Hudson, and Murphy will meet with other celebrators and Luke will give a short presentation on the mission of 2Dogs2000Miles. After that there will be a video and Luke will read the list of names of those companions who walk with them -- the Angels who are on the Memorial Shirt he wears as he walks.
Following the presentation we're hoping everyone will go out to eat and have a chance to mingle and celebrate together. For more information, please call Ginger at 901-619-2286. Of course, leashed and crowd-friendly canines are welcome!
I am very, very upset with my Mom right now, as I really, really, really (and truly) wanted to attend. And I want a GLOW NECKLACE too! I am going to Tweat Mr. Luke and see if he can send me one.
Here is some more information from Mr. Erich:
And a very special thank you -- Thanks to all the people involved, directly or indirectly, now and in the past, with 2Dogs2000Miles: all the wonderful people who helped Luke get the project off the ground and moving, all the volunteers, all the host families, all the Humane Society and Shelter folks, all the people who were so enthusiastic during the calendar contest, all the friends met along the way, all our great sponsors and supporters, all the press who have covered them along the road, all the passers-by who have given them the thumbs-up and rides and treats and advice, all of Luke's family and friends -- all the people who have been involved in any way -- THANK YOU SINCERELY for helping 2Dogs reach this momentous point in the journey. Without ALL of you this would have been impossible.
And of course to Luke, Hudson, and Murphy for their determination, stamina, and dedication. They have brought us together for a good greater than any of us can yet imagine! Stay tuned!
Luke, Hudson and Murphy are SO BRAVE and it makes my eyes water when I am thinking about them sometimes in their tent when I am sleeping in my warm bed. Every night I talk to Princess Daisy (and don't forget to order your Keepsake Cancer Calendar with Daisy on the cover) and anyway, Daisy says she is keeping our boys safe. She has a lot of influence at The Bridge.
So Love and Licks to Luke, Hudson and Murphy

Dear Bob -- Thanks for the great blog you did on Luke, Hudson, Murphy and the Cause! We all appreciate it. I think you should have a glow necklace too. My dog Boris wants one (if I tell the others they'll all want one).
Great job as usual!
PS -- Can you tell me -- this weekend we're (hopefully) getting hi speed, and me email address will change. How do I change my email with you so I don't lose the blog updates? I am not too smart when it comes to these things. Do I unsubscribe with the old email then resubscribe with the new?
