Tracie Hotchner

Remember on Friday I said that I was going to have a very special Blog for you on Saturday?  Well, it seems that first I lost my MousePerson. Evidently he has run off with the Leprechauns.  Idiot.    Then we could not get our cyberspace connection to connect and so instead of working, I laid in a sunny spot most of the day.     Well, I found a new Mouse, and I like her very much, as I seriously doubt that she could possibly be as lazy as my last one.   And we are back into cyberspace at our home.

SO HERE IS MY NEWS ABOUT MISS TRACIE HOTCHNER.who is, as you may know, a leading expert in the field of pet nutrition
.

Here is a very lovely picture of Miss Tracie at her home with her three wonderful dogs.    Isn't she very beautiful?  I'm in love.

On April 24, 2009 our friend Miss Tracie Hotchner will be coming to our town of Leesburg in our Commonwealth of Virginia and she is going to give a very, very special talk called

                                "You're Feeeding Your Pet What???"

She will debunk the myths and give the straight story on what pets should really be eating.  I have no idea whatsoever what the word debunk means.   Mom says she will explain it to me later.   But I am very concerned about what I put in my stomach twice a day.   Sometimes I just sit in front of my bowl and try to decide if I even want to eat at all.   Mom says I am picky.   I say I am just cautious.  What if she tries to sneak something in their that wouldn't be tasty?   Not that she has ever done that, but a boy can't be too careful.

Miss Tracie is the author of several books including The Dog Bible (Everything Your Dog Wants You to Know) and The Cat Bible (Everything Your Cat Expects You to Know).   Isn't it funny how your dog wants you to know something, but your cat flat out expects it of you?    I think cats are just that way.

And Miss Tracie is the host and the producer of two live weekly national Radio Shows, called Dog Talk and Cat Chat (and by the way, Mom says those titles are supposed to have tiny little R letters in circles up above them), but without opposible thumbs, I can't figure out how to make that symbol.  I'm very sorry Miss Tracie.    I think it means that those names are registered somewhere.
Dog Talk comes on NPR station WLIU out of Southampton in New York and Cat Chat is on The Martha Stewart Channel of SiriusXM satellite radio, but you can hear them on your desk on your computer machine too.  That is how we listen.

My sister, Lydia, was on Dog Talk last summer and we liked that very, very much.

Also and this is exciting.   Miss Tracie has appeared on Oprah, The Today Show and The Martha Stewart Television Showing.  She has spoken at conventions and special gathering places for Dog Lovers and now she is doing a National Tour of veterinary colleges which began at Tufts University in Boston and next (on April 23) she will be at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia (and then to see us in Leesburg) and then off to Northern California to UC Davis.
Yippers......she is very busy, so we are so happy that she can fit us in here in Leesburg.

All the proceeds from this event, which my Mom calls AN EVENING WITH TRACIE HOTCHNER, will help the Leesburg Dogs, which is the friends of our new Leesburg Dog Park at Olde Izaac Walton Park, in our town.
If you want to learn more about our Dog Park, you ask your Mouse to fly you to
READ MORE ABOUT OUR DOG PARK    This is the on-line article in the Washington Post and you can see pictures of me, and my "bro" Rusty and our Beautiful Sister, Lydia. I especially like the second and third photos cause you can see my handsome face.

SO BE SURE TO CONTACT US RIGHT AWAY AT
lbest@everythingandthedog.com for more information about this special night.  The tickets are just $15 and that includes a yummy dessert reception and a fabulous prize raffle.   We are also going to have some very special people all set up to show you some wonderful pet products and give you information about their pet related services.

Oh and also.   The nice foks at
Nordic Naturals are helping us with this event and also providing a product for the fantastic amazing super duper special goody bags that the first 100 people who buy their ticket will be getting.    One thing in the bag will be Omega-3 Pet which is oil from real anchovies and real sardines, and we all get this on our food every day and we LOVE it.      If you want to learn about the Nordic Naturals Line, have your Mouse take you to Check Out Nordic Naturals   And then go their home page and look at the beautiful Norway Village.  I am planning to go there someday to help them catch the anchovies and the sardines.
