A PitBull's "Best Friends"
Hi Everyone
I am so excited I could just pee. Please find your Mouse Person as quickly as possible and have him rush you to SAVING AMERICA'S DOG

I am so proud of all of my friends at Best Friends Animal Society in Utah. There is now a whole new web-site for you to visit so you will be able to understand and help all of my Pit Bull brothers and sisters. My Mom says that I have to understand that this is a controversial subject (I hate it when she uses those great big words), but I think that as probably the World's Only Blogging PitBull and Reporter Extra Ordinary that sometimes I have to take a stand.
Just like I believe in what Luke, Hudson and Murphy are doing with their walk from Austin to Boston (Learn How to Help) to raise awareness for finding the cause of cancer, not just the cure, but THE CAUSE, because after that, the cure will come along. And I believe in no more puppy mills and I believe that if you are looking for your Forever Best Friend in the Entire World that you should go and try to rescue someone who is at a shelter just waiting for you to take them home. Those are the things that are important to me.
Well, and of course, meeting Isaboo Ray, but that is another story.
Not all of my Pit Bull brothers and sisters are lucky like me. I admit that I came to my Mom and my Sister as a tiny 7-week old puppy from the State of Maine. My original "Mom" worked with my Dad and my Mom in their weight pulling competitions (my Dad, was, I admit quite famous) and so there was a new litter of puppies to keep up the family tradition. I couldn't see myself working like this right from the minute of my arrival, and I had bigger plans. Now, you can see that this has paid off. I feel that my Blogging Business is the right thing for me and that I CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
So, here I am, and I am Blogging Away and quite happily, I might add. I have a lot of friends everywhere (well, except for Isaboo Ray who I have yet to meet, but I'm working on it) and although my Mom says I am not yet The Country's Next Oprah, I do have a lot of responsibilities. But I also understand that I am one LUCKY PIT BULL, because in my whole entire life, no one has ever treated me badly....well except for that time that my "bro", Rusty bit me on the butt. I have a warm bed to sleep in and a wonderful job that I love and my own private squirrels to chase. And I have Bev Hollis to take my pictures.
So please go and get some education today. When you first arrive at the Best Friends Pit Bull pages, WATCH THE VIDEO. It is very important that you do that (it's not scary, but it is sad). And then learn what YOU can do to make things right. There are lots of ways for you to help, believe me.
Take a look at some pictures:

Best Friends Animal Society is working throughout the country to stop dogfighting. We are working with local community groups, public servants, and elected officials to see that dogfighting operations are reported and broken up, and participants are prosecuted. We're increasing public awareness in order to prevent new operations from forming and we're helping to place these poor victimized dogs when they are removed from the possession of their abusers.

And then, of course, in case you have forgotten what I look like, here I am. Your Best Boy. Bob

So thanks for listening, everyone. Mom says it is time for me to step away from the soapbox. Again, I have NO IDEA whatsoever what she is meaning. All I know is that if we all work together, we can make a real difference in some dogs lives and turn them from hurt and scared and sad into Happy Faces like me.
Love and Licks,
Bob

Hi Cousin Bob! My mom read your most important reporting post to me, and I agree that the people at Best Friends do some amazing things for pitbulls like us. My mom even joined their network: http://network.bestfriends.org/ - she says this will help us to keep in touch with other people and dogs like us that want to make a change.
Hugs and licks,
Cousin SMURF
Hi Cousin
I think it is really important that us bully breeds stick together. And especially us pits who are generally misunderstood. How anyone could misunderstand me, I have no idea. I always speak my mind pretty clearly, don't you think.
BTW I was going to post your picture at the fashion show, but I couldn't get your eyes to look right. Send me more pictures of you.
Are you on Twitter? Tell your Mom to sign you up and we'll Tweet each other.
Licks,
Bob
