Tonight is The Night

As I have been telling you our friend Ms. Tracie Hotchner is appearing tonight to talk to all of us about pet nutrition and other timely topics and we are so excited because we have almost got a sold out house.    There is still some room, however, so if you can make it, just give my "sis" ,
Lydia Best, a phone call at 703 587 4410 and she will give you all the details.   The event, as you might remember, is to benefit our new
NEW DOG PARK    here in Leesburg, and that park is opening on May 9th.

SO.  All the wonderful Goody Bags are loaded up, the Raffle Items (which are amazing by the way) are ready to go to new homes, The Fractured Prune donuts will be delivered by 6pm and Ms. Tracie is here and resting her voice.      Yippers.   I can't attend.   Can you believe it? The Ida Lee Park people said that no four legs can come into that part of their building.   Mom will just have to fill me in.

I'm O.K. with this however as my Grandmother, Omi, has returned from her vacation, and she will feed us dinner and take us for a run in the yard and give us some treats before bed.

And oh, what a treat we have.

One of Ms. Tracies sponsers is the kind Dr. Harvey, and a couple of days ago, we got some yummy samples of some of his products and one of those  was called BARKOTTI

Oh boy is this stuff good.   All of here in the office got to test it and we love it.    We also love Wonderful Wagatha's, (and they have provided cute little samples as well for the Goody Bags) but this is just a different product altogether and so Mom says we CAN HAVE BOTH in our food closet.   Oh My.

Barkotti are healthy all-natural and delicious, crunchy biscotti for dogs. Barkotti’s vegetarian recipe is chocked full of vitamins and minerals mixed right in to the batter as whole foods. Barkotti are filled with vitamin and mineral powerhouses like bee pollen, fruit and vegetables, which, when given in this biscuit, are highly absorbable by your dogs entire system.

Here is what one lady had to say about them:

"Barkotti-Great New Product

At first when I saw these dog biscuits I wondered if my small dogs would be able to handle the size and the weight. No problem! In fact, my smallest 5 pound Chihuahua, steals all the pieces and sits on the pile and growls at anyone (cat or dog) who tries to take them. My dogs save the smallest pieces and hide them in the furniture for later chewing. Great stuff and all natural nutrition so no guilt for me and enrichment for them. Good work-out for the jaws too. Great new product for dogs of all sizes."Stacy Curro DVM

And another thing!            I think Dr. Harvey has solved my food problems.  It seems, according to my Mother, I have become the dreaded Picky Eater!     Now I ask you.  If you ate the same food every single day, would you not occasionally go on strike and try to get someone to fix you something just a little different?  Of course you would.   So, I don't think I am a DREADED PICKY EATER AT ALL.

This is how it works:   Dr. Harvey's Pre-Mixes.   First you buy the base from Dr. Harvey and then you can add your own protein and your own oil and because they are freeze dried, they expand and you don't have to use too much, so it is not expensive and it is FRESH.

The Recipe- Couldn't be Easier

For Adult dogs 18 months-7 years Makes 1 Pound Finished Food Now don’t be scared, it’s not really cooking!

  • Step 1: Measure 3 red scoops of Canine Health. (scoop enclosed in bag) Put the mix into a bowl.
  • Step 2: Add approximately 8 ounces of pure hot water and mix.
  • Step 3: Let the mixture stand for approximately eight minutes until cool.
  • Step 4: Add your choice of protein approximately 6 ounces of chicken, turkey, beef, fish, eggs etc. The meat can be raw or cooked depending on your preference.
  • Step 5: Add 1 tablespoon of either flax seed oil, wheat germ oil, borage oil ,OR use Dr.Harvey’s Health and Shine

Or on the days when I want a lot of veggies:
Does this combination not sound delicious?

Sweet Potatoes*, Carrots*, Diced Potatoes*, Zucchini*, Broccoli Florets*, Green Beans*, Peas**, Beets*, Parsley, Fennel Seed, Fenugreek Seed, Garlic, Ginger, Papaya Leaf and Peppermint Leaf

So you can go and learn a lot when you have your Mouse pumped up on a small piece of Barkotti and have him fly you away to visit Dr. Harvey at Fine Health Foods for Companion Animals  and for PICKY EATERS.   HA.

AND GUESS WHAT ELSE?  and this is very exciting to my Mom.   Dr. Harvey has BIRD FOOD.  And talk about Picky?  Our George who is a Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, is very, very picky and as a result is very skinny.   We are going to order some special food for him and see what happens.   If he fattens up, my Mom will be eternally grateful to Dr. H.

Just because we live in Virginia, our George thinks all he wants to eat is Peanuts, and a Bird Cannot Live By Peanuts Alone.   HA.

I hope you can come and see Ms. Tracie tonight and get some fine samples from Dr. Harvey and from all the other wonderful companies that are supporting this event.    When I blog tomorrow I will give you an important list of all the companies who helped us and their Mouse addressess so you can visit them, in case you can't come tonight.

Love and Licks,

Bob
