Today is The Day
Hi Everyone
I meant to do some Blogging Business yesterday because Mom told me that it was the Fifth Day of The Mayonnaise (Cinco de Mayo), but then we got side-tracked because of other workings in our office and so I didn't get to talk about my confusion over that day.
Something to do with Mexico being Independent, but I thought they were already, and 5 days of eating Mayonnaise which is what I thought it was, but Mom said no, it had to do with eating Mexican Food and drinking Corona Beer. Now I am so totally confused that I have no idea what went on yesterday.
Today, however is different. All Together.
Our BFF Miss Bev Hollis who we think is the best Photo Taking Person in the Entire World, submitted some photo graphs to The Workman Company last year, because we thought that she should and her work is terriffic. We had written to The Workman People earlier and told them they needed to hire Ms. Bev cause in 2008 their calendar wasn't all that beautiful. The 2009 calendar is a fine one and YES, Our VERY OWN Mss. Bev has lots of pages in it. She has even more in the 2010 calendar.
So today, like always when Mom came to her desk, she lifted the Page on the Calendar and WOW. This is what we saw!
6 WEDNESDAY
MAY 2009

Up in the corner, The Workman People said: "Though Greyhounds are known for being sleek and graceful, this trio shows that the breed has a silly side as well."
So - Is this not wonderful? And the best part is that these are MY FRIENDS. They are Amy and Hammer and Molly and they belong to Mr. Tom and Miss Diane and I love them. Amy loves to come to our home and play with our Lily and I love to run in our backyard with ALL of the grey's. The are fast! I am too!
If you want to make sure you get your very own Workman Calendar for 2010 --- and Ms. Bev has photos in that one too, you can go to Page A Day Gallery Calendars and see them and get some more information.
I am so proud of my friends, The Greys, and happy that their photo is in the Calendar. I am so sad because my photo graph is NOT on the Calendar. I thought I looked pretty happy and pretty silly, all of the time (except when I looked sad or depressed), but I guess the Workman People don't like PitBulls. Could that be the reason?
Maybe it is just me, Bob, that the Workman People don't like? Could that be true? Why do you think they would not like me? Miss Bev takes wonderful pictures of me, so I just don't understand.
Oh, well. Little can be done about it at this point.
Happy Sixth Day of Mayonnaise.
Licks,
Bob
.............. someday I'll be on a calendar

Darling Bob - It's Auntie Tracie. The world does not revolve around you. I hate to be blunt, but did it ever occur to you that you weren't picked NOT because you are a pitbull, and NOT because you aren't handsome and NOT because you confuse mayonnaise with a foreign national holiday but because they liked SOMEONE else better?!?! Imagine if people who didn't win on Dancing with the Stars went off in a huff and said they didn't win because the judges clearly didn't like a)people who choose sparkly lavender(or red or green or black) outfits or b)people with short blonde (or black or red) hair or c)people of Hispanic (or Polish or Armenian or Italian)descent. Hey Bob - you would be MY choice, hands down, but it's a big world out there and they picked 12 other dogs. It's a minor miracle you happen to know two of them! In fact, this is why when I was living and working on movies in Hollywood that I never read the "trade papers" because it is no fun to read about OTHER people getting a writing assignment or a big deal while you're still slogging away invisibly in the salt mines. So to speak. Consider yourself lucky not to be touched with that wand of fame - it corrupts the soul. Be grateful you have the skill to write and can be proud of your accomplishments, not just your looks. Looks fade, anyway. Talent is forever. You're already a winner and didn't know it.
Dear Auntie Tracie
How is it possible that you have made me feel bad, yet made me feel good at the same time? I guess that is your job.
I do want to tell you (and I wasn't clear in my original Blogging) that this is the Workman Gallery Calendar so there are 365 pictures in it and it comes in a nifty little plastic box and every day you lift out the old picture and put it to the back of the stack and half way through the year you flip it all over and start again. I think it is a wonderful invention.
So that is why I am so upset, because it is Other Dogs 365 and Bob - Zero. If it was one in twelve, I would not feel so badly.
But you are right. LIfe is too short to eat cheap kibble and I must remember how many good qualities I do have. I haven't been getting a lot of sleep lately because of our new Baby WillowBee, but I am going to adjust my Dogma and get on with being Happy Bob.
Love you,
Me, Bob
