Ivy & Her Helicopter Riding
Remember our friend Ivy who is cared for by our wonderful Ms. Jewel? Ivy gets to go on helicopter rides. Yep, that's right and here is the proof

See how peaceful Ivy looks in this photo? That is because she is wearing a new pair of Mutt Muffs from Safe and Sound Pets
This is not the first time Ivy has been in her Helicopter, but this is the first time with her Mutt Muffs and that is a very good thing.
This is what the Mutt Muff people have to tell us:
Hearing Protection for Dogs Inspired by pilots who know the noise level of the cockpit is unsafe for man or beast.... Mutt Muffs® offer hearing protection for your four-legged family members. Your dog's keenest sense is smell and number two is hearing. If you think something is loud, your dog is probably in pain. After heredity, long exposure to loud noise is the biggest contributor to deafness.
And it just isn't good for when you are riding in your Helicopter. Mutt Muffs are also good for riding in a speed-boat (I'll have to tell my friend Riley Beemin) and if you are on a motorcycle, and any other really noisy place.
Now, I must admit that whereas I am once again whining because someone has something that I do not have, in this particular case that is probably a very good thing. If I am not at all happy when the lawnmower roars into life, I seriously doubt that riding in a small aircraft with a huge rotating blade on it's head would be the thrill of my lifetime. I think that Ivy should take this one on her own.
Except for Bo Obama. Don't you think that Bo needs some Mutt Muffs? I am sure that his Dad has a helicopter to ride in and I am also sure that Bo will want to go on it. Bo looks much braver than I am.
And you know what else is really wonderful about the Mutt Muff people? Lissten to this:
'Rescue organizations nationwide save abandoned and homeless dogs from shelters, where in some cases dogs may be euthanized in as little as a week if they are not adopted. When resources are stretched to the limit, one organization reaches out to another through an amazing network, to find foster homes and ideally permanent adoptions. But sometimes the destination is far away, demanding a network of drivers, coordinated by meeting one another at approximately one hour intervals. Much like getting all those B.B.'s in the right holes at the same time. Pilots can cover greater distances in less time, easing the stress on already traumatized animals.
Team Mutt Muffs is honored to volunteer our time and aircraft to help save some precious lives. For more information on how you can help, visit Pilot N Paws and ARF (Animal Rescue Flights)."
So I think it is very important that we all support The Mutt Muff Family, even if we do not have a Helicopter. Or a Motorcycle or a Speedboat. Maybe you just need to put them on when the lawnmower comes on?

................... NOT riding in a helicopter anytime soon
........................ but you go, Ivy Girl (and take Bo with you)
Oh and BTW.... check out The Gallery of nice pictures of all the brave dogs in the world who are wearing their Mutt Muffs. Maybe there really is something wrong with me cause I truly do not think I would like this at all. Do you think I am possibly a COWARD? Oh dear. This isn't good.

This is a very cool article, Bob, regarding the Mutt Muffs. It's good to hear that the hearing of dogs is being protected just as in humans. This is very important! Thanks for being on the job, Reporter Extraordinary!
