Dog Day at Breaux Vineyards!
This Saturday, you are invited to join us at Breaux Vineyards for DOG DAY, 2009!
One of my Twitter friends said "what could be better than dogs and wine?" Well, maybe - for me -- not so much the wine, but there will be MUSIC too. And as you know - I love to DANCE!
Here I am in full on dance/spin cycle. Maybe I can find someone to dance with me tomorrow! Mom says she thinks this may be The PitBull Salsa!

So back to Breaux. This is one very beautiful place and so peaceful. And BIG too.

To read all about Breaux and how they grew up, you can ask your Mouse to fly you out into cyberspace and Visit Breaux And here is an interesting fact: Did you know that wine is made from grapes? Isn't that fascinating? I thought you could only eat a grape, not drink one. HA.

Now, let's be serious for just a moment. DOGS MUST NOT EAT GRAPES or Grapes All Dried Out, Called Raisins. Grapes and Raisins are deadly poison for us dogs, and so when you are out in the VineYards on Saturday (or any other day that you might decide to go and visit a Winery ..... do not let your dog have a snicky snack). I really don't recommend you allow them to drink wine either.
Let's just keep the treats to the Doggie Cookie kind. WAGATHA'S WONDERFUL BISCUITS IN A TIN are always appropriate, so while you sip a nice glass of Breaux wine, your pup can be munching on a biscuit and maybe some cheese?

Back to Dog Day at Breaux. My Mom went to this event once several years ago and it was a whole lot of fun. Music, wading pools for the pups, FOOD, walking tours, plus lots and lots of other stuff. This year, my "sis" Lydia will be in attendance and telling people about EVERYTHING & THE DOG

And just in case you might be needing some directions, here they are. I don't want you to get lost!
Breaux Vineyards is located west of Leesburg, just outside the town of Hillsboro in Northwestern Loudoun County Virginia. The proximity of our vineyards to horse country makes for a memorable drive. Historic Harpers Ferry is only 9 miles away; Charlestown, West Virginia and the races are 15 miles from Breaux Vineyards; Frederick, Maryland is 25 miles away; Dulles International Airport is 33 miles from the Vineyard; and Baltimore-Washington International Airport is 70 miles from Breaux Vineyards.
Directions:
From Leesburg, take Route 7 West approximately 4 miles to Route 9 West. Go 8 miles to Hillsboro, then 2 miles to Route 671. Bear right onto Route 671 (Harpers Ferry Road) and continue 1 mile to Breaux Vineyards(on the right).
So, TELL ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS AND YOUR DOG'S FRIENDS AND WHEN YOU ARE AT BREAUX TOMORROW, PLEASE TELL MY SISTER THAT BOB SENT YOU!
Love and Licks, and DO NOT EAT THE GRAPES!
Bob
