My 2-Leg Brother

Hi Everyone

I really doubt that anyone even remembers me by now.  Bob.  You know, the Boy Bloginator and Reporter Extra Ordinary?  It has been 8 whole days since I was last allowed to touch my Mom's Mind and inject stuff into the computer.   I did a little tweeting, but that was all.   I hate being so dependent upon my Mother.

It is always one excuse after another.   Our Business (Everything & The Dog) is more important than I am.    My Mom is busy. My Sister is Busy. My Omi broke her leg.  My Mom is old.  My Mom has a bad back and is hobbling around like a cripple.    So?  Do any of these excuses sound valid to you?   My Mom needs to buy a lap top computer so that at least she and I can lay on a hot pad together and get some stuff done.    I am about ready to go on strike.    Does anyone want to help me in my Line of Picket Fences?   Just let me know, we'll get busy.

So.  I have a lot to catch up on but nothing is more important than the fact that I have found out that I have a Two-Legged Baby Brother of my very own.     I am so excited.  I just can't wait to be able to see him.

Daniel Emery Bennett, Jr. was born just 10 days shy of my own third birthday, which means he entered this world on April 10  ( I sorta forgot to tell everyone that I turned three years of age on April 20th.)  Wow.  It seems only yesterday that I was smaller than WillowBee.

My Daniel is owned by and cared for by my first ever Mom and Dad, Philisity and Daniel.   I call her Momma Phil and she was responsible for my Dad, Oalie and my Mom, Padmae, becoming parents.      I think I have told you before that Mom and Dad were both weight pulling champions Extra Ordinary.   My Momma Phil is the best ever PitBull dog owner and trainer in the entire world as far as I am concerned, although my now Mom says she should have sent me back to Phil for training so I wouldn't be such a goofy kind of guy now.       I don't think anyone could have trained me better than my now Mom.      She was responsible (with encouragement from others) for turning me into the Boy Bloginator I am today.

But I guess, Momma Phil could have thrown in a few dog manners which may have come in handy now and then.

So, Momma Phil and The Big Guy (who is Poppa Dan), still have some of my brothers and sisters, but they also have a Really, Really, Really, big dog who is an African Boerboel

You know that I love to report from Wikipedia, since it seems to be a very accurate source of up to date information and so I sent my Mouse Person (who is very tiny) to look up the facts about this dog (who is very huge)  This is what we learned.

The Boerboel is a large working molosser breed of dog from South Africa. The word "boerboel" derives from "boer", the Afrikaans/Dutch word for "farmer"; boerboel thus translates as either "farmer's dog" or "Boer's dog" in Afrikaans/Dutch. There is a lengthy history of breeding the boerboel in South Africa, where the dog was bred with the purpose of guarding the homestead. While it is uncertain from which breeds the dog originated, it is postulated that the dog derived from interbreeding of indigenous African species with breeds brought from Dutch, French and British settlers. The dog is a heavy mastiff breed with characteristic sand colouration with a black mask, and a height that varies from 64-70 centimetres for males, and 59-65 for females. This dog is the most protective dog breed that is not aggressive. They are obedient and intelligent, and have strong territorial instincts, particularly in domestic situations.

So you can tell, that my step-brother is quite a perfect dog to raise and care for my baby Daniel.   I feel totally confident that The Puppy as his parents call him will be safe and sound, so long as Legion (that is my step-bro's name) is on the job.   In order to prove my point, I show you this wonderful photo that Momma Phil and Poppa Dad sent me.

You can see that one of Legion's jowls is approximately the size of Daniel's head at this time.      In March, Legion weighed 115 pounds and he was only nine months old at the time.    Momma Phil didn't say how much he weighs now, but from his head, I think it is a lot MORE than 115.  Daniel by the way, weighs about 9 and one half pounds now (at one month old)

And so that you know that Daniel has a beautiful face also, here is a shot of Daniel, without his companion.

I must say, Daniel has very large paws, don't you think?    I can hardly wait to see him.   I have never had a baby bro of my very own with only two legs and I know that I will be a good brother too.    Legion is bigger than me, but I am, remember, very, very kind.

Love and LIcks,

Bob

First of all, Bob, no one could ever forget you!!! You are imprinted in my mind forever. Congrats on half-brother baby Daniel. That Boerboel is huge, but seems very gentle. I'm sorry we don't get into commenting on your blog as much as we used to and we sincerely hope that's not why you feel forgotten. We love you very much and want you to succeed as boy bloginator.

    With all our love,

    Hi my Friends

Of course, I know you haven't forgotten me.     I just feel really bad when I can't spend at least a little time having fun with my Blogging and my Tweeting.   Do you Tweet?  You really should.

I am so proud of my true Mom of Birth, Phil, as she is the most amazing dog mom ever.   Did I tell you that my now Mom had a little pit before me?  Her name was Hannah Bananna.   She was a retired weight puller, but she only weighed 22 pounds.   She was truly a midget in the dog world.  Or would that be a Little Dog?    In any event, my Mom said she had never had a more perfectly trained dog than Hannah (nor more loving and with more personality) and so that is how my Mom got me.   Little Hannah had a liver shunt and she passed away when she was only 6 years old.

My Mom wrote to Miss Phil and said do you have a Hannah Clone?   Miss Phil, said no.  But I have some puppies.    And so there was me.

That Legion is one big guy, huh, Blazer.    He would make you and me look pretty small.

    Love and LIcks,

    Bob
