FreeKibble

My Blogging Buddy, Erich, from 2Dogs2000Miles  told me about this amazing place and I am so excited to share with all of my friends.

If you do not know about how FreeKibble works, here is the history:

Mimi Ausland, a 12 year old girl from Bend, Oregon, wanted to help feed the hungry animals at her local animal shelter. “There are 10’s of thousands of dogs and cats in animal shelters across the country, all needing to be fed a good meal.” Say hello to freekibble.com and freekibblekat.com!

Here is a picture of Mimi, who I think is just about the cutest little girl I have ever seen!

Mimi loves playing the vocabulary challenge on freerice.com, which donates rice to the hungry through the United Nations World Food program. "Why couldn't we do that for pets, using kibble instead of rice?" she thought. Dad designed the Web page, and Mom created the animated critters. Castor and Pollux Pet Works, the Clackamas-based natural and organic pet food company, signed on as Kibble Kontributor. Freekibble.com was up and running April 1, 2008. The site got huge boosts from features in People magazine and on "Today."

What started with providing free kibble to the Humane Society of Central Oregon has now grown and includes 13 other shelters (from Oregon to Florida)         Free
kibble.com's primary mission is to provide good, healthy food to dogs and cats to those shelters who are working so hard to see that none of them go hungry

FreeKibble has partnered with  Castor and Pollux to feed these hungry dogs and cats a very high quality, all natural kibble - a very decent dinner!     You need to go and spend some time with the kind people at Castor and Pollux and learn all about how they got named and what they are doing to support FreeKibble.

This is what they have to say on their nice Web-Site:

"Car rides with ears flapping in the wind. The occasional drink from the toilet. A full belly. This is what a dog's life should be.

We think so too. So that's why at Castor & Pollux, we're committed to providing the highest quality organic and natural pet food. As the founding sponsor of freekibble.com, we've provided freekibble shelters with more than 55 tons of pet food and financial support.

But we need your help.        When you buy a box of GOOD BUDDY® Mimi's Favorite Mac & Cheese Dog Cookies, we'll donate a meal to freekibble.com.    So buy a box (or two or four) of Good Buddy Dog Cookies today. You'll give your pooch a tasty treat and feed a hungry shelter pet"

And it is so much fun to help Freekibble..... all you do is wake up your Mouse Person every day and ask him to take you over to see Mimi and her friends, and play that day's  Bow-Wow Trivia

It is really easy to play and all you do is click on the answer that you think is correct.    It doesn't really matter if your answer is right or wrong  (although I prefer to be correct in everything that I do), cause every day that you click, freekibble will provide 10 pieces of kibble to Animal Shelters to feed Hungry Dogs!

So that is the FreeKibble story and how you can play and help.    There was even a Trivia Question about Luke and The Boys and the 2dogs2000miles walk!    So now, all I need to know is if there can be a question about me, Bob.   I think I could provide some very interesting material to Mimi and her friends!

Love and LIcks,

BOB
