Bark N' Bubbles
This is exciting news!
I mentioned that our friends Luke & 'DaBoys are going to make a special trip to Leesburg, Virginia and will be here sometime around the first of September. I did mention that, didn't I? Well, it's true. The 2Dogs2000Miles Team of Hudson & Murphy, plus Luke will actually be spending almost two weeks in our area and we are going to be their HOME BASE and help them coordinate a lot of events and chances to meet with all of you and for this opportunity we are very, very excited.
Can you imagine? I finally get to meet The Famous Hudson and The Even More Famous Murphy! And I can show them our town and introduce them to all of my friends and my "bro" Patrick (who is married to my "sis" Lydia) is going to cook for them and their Dad and that is really exciting cause Patrick is an amazing cooking machine and loves to cook unusual things from vegetables and since Luke eats nothing with a face, then this means that my Mom gets to eat veggies too. Ever since my Mom read the book The Omnivore's Dilemma, she has been having a hard time with eating meat.
Anyway.
I am going to be telling you all about SPECIAL EVENTS as we get them all set in stone, and we are hoping that you will be able to help us with volunteering to work at an event, to make a place for Luke & The Boys to sleep and or to eat, or if you have a group that you would like for them to come and talk to, then let us know.
As Mom says: "WE NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET" Usually that means "in more ways than one........HA".
So Scheduled Event Numero Uno......
CHARITY DOG WASH AT BARK N' BUBBLES IN ASHBURN, VIRGINIA
On September 12 (a Saturday) between the hours of 11-3pm, you and your pups (or your kitties, I guess), can come to Bark N' Bubbles in Ashburn and get a dog wash to help the boys on their way to Boston.
Our wonderful and dear friend, Pam Ahart, is the smart lady who thought up the Bark N' Bubbles concept and with her partner, Dani Weng, they opened their first store in Ashburn a couple of years ago. Now they have two stores and a number three will be opening soon in Fairfax.
I don't know if I would like to go to a place specicially to get a bath, but I am definately up for a BlueBerry Facial, and Mom promises me that on the Charity Event day, I can go and have that done to me. I think she is tricking me, but I said that if Ms. Pam was the ONLY PERSON IN THE ENTIRE WHOLE WIDE WORLD THAT WOULD BE TOUCHING ME IN THE BATHTUB WHEN I AM NAKED AND VULNERABLE, then I would do it.
So this is Ms. Pam who I think is probably the most beautiful woman in the entire world, with the exception of my sister, Lydia.
What is a BlueBerry Facial, you might ask? Well, for a tiny $3 extra your pup will get to enjoy a tearless face wash with Coconut Oil, JoJoBa, Aloe, BlueBerry, Avocado, Vitamin A, Vitamin D and Vitamin E. Mom says that sounds good enough to eat, but I think it will be better if left on our skin. Especially with the hot weather season, a pup's skin care is very, very important, and I AM going to have a facial, or else I am just not going. I think Huds and Murphy will need one too, and judging by the hours that Luke is spending in the blazing sun, he could probably have one also. HA!

We have a lot of other events planned while Luke is here but since is the one date so far that is SET IN STONE, then I want to get my announcements out to all of you as quickly as possible.
Are you excited? I am so nervous cause what if Mr. Luke doesn't like me? Or what if he likes me so much he wants me to walk to Boston with him and da' boys? Oh boy. I couldn't do that. I hope he understands, but I am a much better reporter extra ordinary than I would be a hiker. My paws are too soft. And I can only sleep on just the perfect mattress, and I need my special blankie too.

Oh and BTW. I am going to see if Bo Obama can come to get a bath and a facial with us. I think he would like that, don't you? After all, what's the point of Luke and The Boys being so close if they can't meet Bo? And I am going to invite Bo to come to ALL of the events, because that is what I can do. HA.! But I'm not inviting Isaboo Ray. I am mad at her for not loving me.
