The Dog Wash
I can hardly believe it, but there were actually four-legs that left The Dog Swim (at A.V. Symington Aquatic Center in Leesburg) and drove straight away to The Dog Wash at Bark n' Bubbles yesterday. Talk about double dipping!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, a MILLION and a BAZILLION times over to our dearest friend, Ms. Pam Ahart and her parner Dani Weng, who are the owning people of Bark n' Bubbles in Ashburn, Virginia. They were nice enough to donate the use of their fantastic facility so that money raised that day can help Mr. Luke and Hudsy and Muphy with their walking to help find the cause for Canine Cancer.
My Mom had never had the opportunity to go and visit Ms. Pam's beautiful facility, and now that she has, she assures us that we are ALL going over their to get a bath. On a regular basis. This, frankly, is NOT good news in my book, but Rusty seems pretty excited about it.
Find your Mouse Person, if he isn't too worn out from yesterday's aquatic events, and have him fly you to visit Bark N' Bubbles
Like my reporting on the Dog Swim which was earlier in the morning, I am using the ONE PICTURE IS WORTH ONE THOUSAND WORDS motto this time around, and here are some great pictures that were taken at The Dog Wash!

Whomever this pooch is, you can certainly see that he/she absolutely LOVED Ms. Jeanette!
Of course, one of my very favorite small, old dogs, is my friend Ms. Moxie. Moxie used to come to our office all the time, when her Mom, Chexy, worked in the office helping out my Mom. Yesterday, Ms. Chexy helped to wash a lot of pups, but when Ms. Moxie showed up, of course she got the extra special treatment from her own Mom, Ms. Chexy. And this picture shows you what a great set up they have at B & B, cause the small ones get a shelf to stand on!

Obviously, as you can see from this shot..... not everyone needs a shelf to stand on!

This is one of our dear, dear, dear friends, Ms. Carolyn. Ms. C worked herself to the bone to make sure that everyone who needed a bath got one, but look at her here........ she still looks fresh as a daisy to me, and as cheerful as ever! That's why I love my friend, Ms. Carolyn!
Of course, we also put The Bid Dog himself to work -------

And Hudson and Murphy needed baths (pretty badly, I might add), so they took their turns getting all soaped up! First it was Hudson's turn to hop up:

And to get a BlueBerry Facial

And Murphy takes up a little more room in the tub:
Dry and wet:
But the end result was surely worth it and they were able to hit the road to a special event in Arlington tomorrow --- looking good and smelling like Blueberries!
Here they are with their new friend, Patrick! And with their other new friend, Pam

All in all, it was a very long day. I'm sure you noticed that there were no pictures of my Mom at either event. But I have it on good authority that she was a lifesaver at The Dog Wash when it came time to wash out and sanitize each bathtub before someone new hopped in. Mom said she wasn't much on washing the actual dog, but she could wrangle a bottle of disinfectent with the best of them! You go, Mom.
Sister, Lydia was - as you can see, in charge of the photo graph taking! Believe me, EVERY BODY in attendance had a job to do, and at the end of the day, everyone was pooped out!

The Big Dog, Mr. Luke, and da' boys, Hudson and Murphy, still have a really big week ahead of themselves, with several Meet and Greet events, a trip to Richmond, and of course, the First Ever Canine Cancer Caucus on the 18th (Friday) and a big, huge bash at Dog Gone Natural on Saturday the 19th.
More details to follow, so of course, keep youselves posted to my Blogging and I'll keep you up to date on all the happenings.
Love and Licks,
Bob
........ ha, ha, didn't get a bath.

Come closer, big boy Bob... come closer... Nah, I don't have a shower head in my hand...
Oh, Miss Phoebe, you are being silly with me, aren't you? Did my Mom tell you that my Cousin Smurf was very brave and got a bath and that I was a big chicken?

Bob, Moose here...
I haven't figured out a good place to hide when it's bath time - any good suggestions?
Moosie
Hey Moosie, my Main Man
Please don't take this the wrong way, but I would imagine that YOU would have a hard time hiding at ANY TIME, not just when there is a bath in your future.
You aren't exactly small boned, ya' know.
Love,
Bob
