At The Vet's Office
Yesterday, today and tomorrow will all be spent at various vet's, and NOT having a good time, either. I'm sad.
Yesterday our Honey Bird (she is a Quaker Parrot in case you are forgetting), got really, really sick with what we think might be a bad cold, and so my Mom rushed her up to Blue Ridge Vet (thank Goodness they are open 24/7), and she is still there. Mom and Lydia will be going up in a little while to visit her and see if it might be safe for her to come home to us. So please, say a prayer for Honey.
George is very, very, very lonely without her in the cage next to him.
And then -- this morning, our black beast, Miss WillowBee, The Bee, has gone off to Leesburg Vet to get her girlie parts removed. They will probably find a few socks and hair scrunchies in there too! Poor Willow. I think she will be spending the night with Dr. Strickland and his wonderful staff.
And then ---- me. I am going to Dr. Bev Hollis (in her Vet Coat, not in her Photo Graphing Uniform).... to get my toe nails clipped. And it's a big deal, cause, to be perfectly honest with you, I am a bad, bad, bad boy when it comes to the nail clipping. I do not like it one little bit, so the entire staff at Loudoun Vet is on alert to help hold me still. I'm embarrased to tell you that this bad behaviour is coming from your favorite Boy Bloginator Pit Bull Reporter Extra Ordinary, who should know better, but does not.
So say some prayers, cross your paws for Honey and Willow and don't be too mad at me for being an idiot.
Love and Licks,
Bob

And here is our Willow Girl, on her last day as a puppy. She has to be a big girl now! HA.

Hello, Bob! Thank you for the update. I hope Honey Bird is on the mend and coming back home soon. Love and pats to Miss WillowBee -- she'll be okay, but I have to tell you that I think she's still going to be rather puppyish for awhile longer, even though she won't have her girl parts anymore! As for you, my dear bloginator, I've had lots of experience with a doggy who did not want her nails cut. When I had my pyr, Miss Winties, she didn't like anyone touching any part of her feet at all -- even me, if you can imagine that! Her dear vet used to curl up on the floor with her and cut one nail every little while during a whole lot of snuggling and reassurance. It used to take a long, long time to cut all of her 20 nails! Actually, 22 nails ... she had dewclaws as well! So hang in and don't be afraid -- you'll be with Dr. Bev, which is not a bad thing at all!
Oh my gosh, Miss Beth. Do I have THAT MANY toes?????? This is not good at all.
Love,
Bob

I will be thinking good thoughts for everyone! Please do the same for us as my wife Lia may need surgery this Friday and she is a "surgical risk." She has a nasty kidney stone that will not budge so she is scheduled for surgery Oct 30, 2 days after my birthday. As Bob would say, HA!
Good luck with your toe nails Bob. Just think how easy it is compared to Willow Bee's surgery and Honey Bird's cold! Be brave.
Dear Uncle Erich and Auntie Lia
Happy Birthday and Safe (and happy?) Surgery. I will cross my paws for you, Auntie, and I will try to find an appropriate B-Day card for you, Uncle.
Love and Licks,
Your BFF, BOB
