Gone in a Flash

You remember that I told you I had been waiting and waiting all year for Santa to come to my home and to bring me fantastic gifts because I had been almost 100% perfect (well, except for the time I bit my friend Smurf on the nose).     And remember that my friend Ms. Bev Hollis who is the world's best photo taking person ever, helped me to put together a lovely photo so that everyone would know I was being good:

And so, I sat in that chair, and I sat in that chair, and I sat in that chair.   It seemed like weeks and finally one night I just fell asleep.     And then, around mid-night I heard a noise, and I leaped up but what did I find?

I had missed the whole experience.    Santa had come and gone and only left behind his hat as proof of existence.      I did get some cool presents, but I just wanted to actually see the REAL SANTA just once in my life.       Mom says, patience is a virtue, so maybe next year.

Oh and by the way, to ALL the people who have received this Holiday Card from us, please be aware that this picture was not shopped with any photo shopping items.   No indeed.   This is action in action.     I can jump very, very, very high, straight up from the floor and I think even our wonderful Bev Hollis was just a little surprised when she saw me go fot it.

So soon it will be a new Year and we will have New Year's resolutions and wishes for good things to come our way, but frankly right now, all I want to do is really see Santa (all of him) - and maybe share a Wagatha's cookie or two with him.

Love and Licks,

Bob

Dear Bob -- Thank you SO much for the wonderful Christmas Card. My wife thinks your jumping is amazing too. I'm sorry you missed Santa but you see, he will only come when he is sure you are sound asleep. At least, that is what I was told when I was a puppy. And it always worked. I would fall asleep and BINGO, Santa would have come and gone without a sound. He even ate the cookies we left, although he wasn't too fond of the milk. One year we switched to cheese and beer and that was ALL gone! I think Santa must be part German.
Happy New Year, Dear Friend! I hope you and all who love you have a wonderful, healthy, and prosperous 2010!

My Dearest Uncle Erich and all your family

Thank you for thinking my card was wonderful.    But it was, wasn't it?     I am pretty amazing when one comes right down to it.
I guess I just fell asleep for only a few minutes and that was long enough for Santa to come and go.

Next year I am taking your hint and I am leaving him a nice cold glass of beer, and perhaps some of the wonderful cheese with horseradish in it that my Grandpa Bob left for us.   That stuff packs a real whallop, so I bet I would be able to hear Santa coughing when he gets a big mouth-ful.       Mom says she loves it, but I think if you take a bite when you are not expecting a mouth full of horseradish that you would wake up the entire house!   HA.   That will be a good trick, right?

Happy New Year to you, my great and good friend.      Next year is going to be wonderful because Mom says that the even numbered years always work out better.

    Love and Licks,

    BOB

OK folks, Bob has enough self-esteem issues as it is. He is not taking favorably to suggestions that his holiday card was photoshopped.

It was not. I was there. I took the darn photo. If it had been photoshopped I have no problem telling you that either.

But please give Bob credit for one of his biggest talents - LEAPING!

    Happy New Year!

Thank you Ms. Bev for giving me credit for my leaping skills.   And I will not forget how you fell back on your little tiny butt when you hit the shutter button, cause you were so surprised at how high I had gone.

Happy new Year and thank you for always making me look good.

    Love,

    Your BFF, Bob
