We Love our Kyla

Our friend Kyla lives in Long Beach, California and my "sis" Lydia is practically an Auntie to little Ms. Kyla.  Lydia and Kyla's Mom have been the very best friends  (you know -- the dreaded BFF's) since college.    SInce neither Lydia or Alyssa, Kyla's Mom, are getting any younger, then it doesn't hurt for me to tell you that is a VERY long time.

So we got this e-mail from Kyla yesterday:

I am calling you cause i am asking if you can give money to me so i can give money to them so they can give money to the kids with cancer. i am doing it cause i can support them cause i can tell them that i don't care that i don't have hair. just like the kids that have to get the medicine to get the yuckies out of them and sometimes it takes the good stuff out which is your hair. and i want to do it cause i can tell them i don't care that they don't have hair and now i don't have hair either, just like them.

thanks and love me (KYLA)

So where is this leading?  You guessed it.   Since Kyla is a very brave young person, and knows what is important in life, she has chosen to support St. Baldrick's  and we are very proud of her journey so far.   Because I know how much all of my friends think that this is the kind of courage we should all have, I am hoping that by my Boy Bloginator PitBull Reporting Extra Ordinary and now you know all about it.......  whew.... then PLEASE  go to Kyla's page at St. Baldrick's and donate some money to help her help them so they can help.

Here is our Kyla, before:

And here is our Kyla, after:

                                                         after

I am telling you, if I even remotely thought I would look so good without my fur, I would be at the groomer so fast you would think I was a lightening bolt flying off of my mountain.   You GO --- Kyla!!!!!!

Of course, as my Mom says, getting there is sometimes half the fun, but on the other hand, I think it might be half of the scaredee part....... for me the sound of the clippers would be the very worst.     You KNOW, I am not all that brave.

Oh, My.    Kyla --- YOU are so beautiful.

And ALL of us can be beautiful, just like Kyla.    You can help St. Baldrick's --- all you have to do is log on to their wonderful home on the web where your Mouse Person is probably wandering around right now

Take a few minutes and fly around and then put on your thinking cap.    I bet that you can organize a group of your friends and family and GO FOR IT.    Just like Kyla and her Team Cubberley.   As of this minute they have raised  $10,071  and their goal was just $10

Our Kyla is Number One of the team right now......... check it out.
