Meet Sister Smudge
It would seem that I have a new sister. Actually, she has been my sister for about four and a half days now, but I guess I am recovering from the shock.
I was sorta hoping for a Great Dane or a big-boy Mastiff, but seems I have now got another Baby Bulldog on my paws.
So here is a collage of Smudge and her first few days with us:
This is Miss Smudge (who used to be called Louise) on her ride home from her Mom's house near Luray Caverns. Which one is Smudge? HA.
I told my Mom that I think Smudge thinks she is already some sort of a super model......she how she has mastered the art of the head tilt in order to make her chin look less wrinkly?
And then she met her big sister, WillowBee
and of course, she had to check out the flower beds:
I'm SORRY...... does she look like Yard Art to you?
And then it was nap time and of course everyone LOVES a sleeping Baby BullDog ---- geeze..... I am really misisng Daisy and Lily at this point...... Is the focus OFF of me?

AND OF COURSE, we had to document her first trip to the vet - today.
And of course our friend, Dr. Stickland thinks she is the best BullDog on the planet and is so coo-c-coo over her and he was kissing her and he loves her and has he ever made even a passing comment about me? I think not.
And how can she even stand UP on the vet table with a head that big? For goodness sake, and I don't understand the deal with her wonderful wrinkles and of course she is so loving and affectionate and sweet and cute and you know what? I don't think I am terribly happy right now.
And furthermore, she has her own personal photographer again, because our friend Ellen Zangla was up here yesterday and spent hours and hours gushing over how cute she was and how photogenic she was and on and on and on and on. Oh dear. I have now been pushed to the bottom of the bowl.

Well isn't this just a cozy shot? And then of course there is this one.

Next thing you know that little pup will be the spokesdog for Sorel Boots OR something..... could you get more commerical..... geeze, you can see the label from this photo and my sister LOVES those darn boots.
I am toast.
Love Bob,
---- next they will have her blogging

*I* still love you, Bob. In fact, I think your mom needs to post more pictures of you on this site. I don't see your lovely face nearly enough. Don't worry, the cute will eventually wear off for Smudge and she'll be just another pretty face, hahahha!

What a sweet little love! Welcome to your new sister Smudge, Bob! I know that you'll be an exemplary big brother!

Oh, poor Bob. The sufferings of being an older sibling. You know that you will have to be a good big brother and show her the ropes and rules of the house. I know you aren't happy now, but she's here to stay, so put on your big boy pants and learn to live with it. They still love you.

Oh Bob....just remember she might have the cute factor going in her favor right now but you are the one with all the smarts. You will be a hero if you can teach your new little sister the right things to do and help her to stay out of trouble. Because at that age ...well they don't have your smarts.
And whenever you can...stick your head in the picture too. She might be cute but you are handsome and the two of you together would make BEAUTIFUL pictures together.
Tell your new sister that Kassi & Laney, my 2 little girls, say woof and are very happy she has a new home and a very special big brother.

Bob,
As uncomfortable as it might be for you to adjust to another sibling, kudos to you for profiling her on your blog. Now why don't you show us some photos of your handsome self next to little Smudge? Keep your chin up, Bob.
Your Newest Fan,
CJ
