A Large Number of Names
This is my little sister, Smudge.
I want to make something perfectly clear. I do not like her. Not at all. I am through with raising baby dogs around our home. She can come into "my" office and hang out in her X-Pen, but I really don't want to have all that much to do with her. Rusty loves her. He can have her. He is wierd too. With his Scotty Pippin nose.
My sister Scarlett has some sort of wierd Motherly Instinct and she tolerates Baby Smudge, but that's about it.
I simply cannot understand all the hoopla that is made over this little smush face puppy. I bet I will get a lot of comments about this, but I am sorry. Does it say "Bob and Smudge's Blog" I think not. I actually liked Daisy, but I must say that she didn't much care for me. She put up with me, when I was just a baby boy.
I believe in total honesty. My Mom and my Sis, Lydia, make such a big deal about Smudge and her silly name. I have heard that some people think that Smudge is a stupid name, but almost everyone thinks it is so darling and so cute and fits her so well.

There are actually more that are developed on a daily basis and let me tell you it is ridiculous. O.K., I admit that I am called Bob-Boo sometimes, but it just isn't dignified to turn my name into a cruel joke.
So I suppose that there are many, many of my fans who do the same silly thing with their doggie names. My Mom has been guilty of this for years, and obviously my sister inherited this. You should have heard what they called poor old Marvin and Jethro, not to mention our darling Hannah, who they called Hannah Bannana.
I bet a lot of readers are going to send in a list of how many names their dogs have been given, and actually, I hope you all do it. I just want to make sure that my Mom and my Sis are not the only silly people on the face of the planet who make a Name Game out of their dogs dignified moniker.

YOU are the MAN! Don't let all the hoopla about a cute little puppy get you down! Yeah, she is cute, so what! That little thing NEEDS you to teach her how to be a big, strong dependable member of an amazing family! YOU are the BEST! Who else is she going to learn the ropes from? Scarlett? Rusty? I don't think so!!
