Thanks, Northern Virginia Magazine

                  Hi

It is me, Bob, and have I got news for you!

The June print issue of Northern Virginia Magazine will be on newsstands everywhere on May 25th, but we got ours yesterday in the snail mail box and so now I can Blog about something I have known about for awhile, but wasn't supposed to tell.    That, as you might remember, is called a secret.

Yahoo.     My Blogging, along with only one other (ARLNOW)  has been named Best Blog in all of Northern Virginia.

I am so excited.  I could pee.    Really.    Isn't this excitement to end it all?    (which by the way -- you may have noticed that the world didn't end today)

I have to admit that my Mom is helping me with this blogging business, but I really do need to make it perfectly clear that if I wasn't thinking into her hands, nothing would be happening around this place.    I don't want to say that my Mom is getting old or anything, but she gets so grumpy sometimes.

Anyway, back to my blogging award.    This is what the wonderful people at the magazine had to say:

"Imagine writing a blog from the perspective of an English Bulldog and a pitbull.   Such has been the challenge/pleasure of Everything and the Dog'sEverything and the Dog's  Patti Best since 2007.  She says Daisy, her now deceased English Bulldog, "had a very distinctive personality,"  very "What can my friends do for me?"   After Daisy passed, Best began writing from the perspective of her pitbull, Bob.    "Once Bob got it together it was like a phenomenon"   While humorous, Best says what really sets Bob apart is his caring heart, which has won over many others.  "Bob has a fan club all over the world"

Didn't the nice magazine reporter who is named Natalie Kaar, say some nice things?     And of course, Mom is right that I am truly a phenomenon.   Don't you just love that word?

I really wasn't sure what it meant (and since my Mom is sometimes sneaky) so I asked my Mouse Person to fly us off to figure out what the word means.
This is what we discovered

a fact, occurrence, or circumstance observed or observable: to study the phenomena of nature. .
something that is impressive or extraordinary.
a remarkable or exceptional person; prodigy; wonder.

That would be me all right.   A remarkable, exceptional person, a prodigy...... and of couse, a wonder!   So please, when you write to me now, can you make sure you address your comments to "Bob - The Phenomenon"   Thanks.

Up until now, I thought that Phenomenon was a movie with one of my all time favorite actors, Mr. John Travolta.

Mom and I watch this movie every time we can and it always makes me cry.    You should watch it.    I think that John Travolta would like me.   Do you think?    Maybe I can write to him and ask him.     Daisy was always writing to Oprah but Oprah never wrote back.   I used to try to communicate with Rachel Ray, because I wanted to meet her dog, Isaboo, but she didn't write back either.   Maybe Izaboo will like me now that I have a real AWARD.   Oh boy.
This is great isn't it?

So what do you think?  Is this not just very exciting?

I need a lot more friends, so please be sure to subscribe to our blogging and of course if you ever need a pet sitter or errand person, then you should see about us at Everything & The Dog

Be sure to check out our web-site  cause it is brand new and very exciting also.

So - that's it for this morning.   I actually have a lot of other exciting news to tell you in the next few weeks, so please be sure you "stay tuned".

Love and Licks,

Bob

Bob, you know you don't need an award for everyone to love you! You are lovable just being Bob. But Congratulations to you and your mom for being so recognized. I'm sure she couldn't have done it without you!
