Happy Memorial Day!
Don't forget that today is the last day of Viva! Vienna, and if you are near Vienna and want to have some fun (and meet my sister), please stop by our booth.
Here is Lydia with our new friend, who is a Great Dane by the name of Fred:

I notice that Fred is drooling. I hope he isn't contemplating my sister. HA. His ears are large too. My, Fred, what large ears you have. Oh boy. I'm sure Fred is very, very nice. I am happy here in Leesburg right now.
I asked Lydia what she was holding in Fred's face..... it's a fan with a water bottle attached. I guess the water is supposed to keep the air that the fan is making, cooler. Certainly one cannot drink from the bottle with the fan operating on the top. Very strange.
We also had a Bunch O' Beagles come by for a big drink of water. It is very, very, very hot today, so we are providing a LOT of water for the two legs and the four legs...... or in this case, the twelve legs.
Here are Charley & Harley who stopped by to cool off:

And then one of them stuck around for some loving from some new admirers:

Nothing like a good head scratch on a hot day!
Then Shika stopped by, and in case you are wondering she is a Labradoodle and do you SEE what she has cornered in the bottom left of the photo. That, my friends, is a "My Squeaky Ball" and it better not be the one that was supposed to come home for me, that's all I have to say:
Obviously we are so glad we added the AstroTurf to the floor of our booth, cause I am sure it is a good place to lay down if you have down a lot of sightseeing and are pooped out.
And PLEASE don't tell Smudgie, but just look what Lydia has found! This is Reese, who is 7 weeks old:

Puppy is darling, isn't he? But really, someone needs to get that poor man in the background a nice drink of water or a little snack. He looks pretty grumpy. HA ! Hey --- maybe he needs the water bottle with the fan on it.
So all in all it has been a busy day for Everything & The Dog Last night Lydia said her feet hurt when she got home. Tonight she is obviously going to have a bit of a sun-burn too, but I know that she and Mr. Pat are having a great time and meeting new friends is always The Best (pun intended).

So, here I am at home with my Mom, still "holding down the fort", but you know what, it is pretty cool in our office and I have my own Squeaky Ball and a big bowl of water, and I'm not feeling too terrible at being left behind After all, it's my job to report as the news comes in.
Love and Licks,
Bob
---- and Happy Memorial Day
.............. I hope Lydia brings home that fan thingy
Oh and by the way..... my friend Ellen Zangla took a few pictures of me the other night and here is one. It's nice to have some new pictures of my very own, and Ms. Ellen says we will go out into the garden and do some shooting one day soon. I can't wait!
