In Memory of Wally Blair

My Mom has been taking care of dogs for a very, very long time now.      Officially she started a "career" as a dog walker around April of 2003, and her very first client was Wally Blair and his little brother Zack.

We are so saddened to learn that Wally has just journeyed off across The RainBow bridge and even though Mom hasn't seen Wally in a long time, he was still her favorite.

Do you not love the little tufts of fur on Wally's toes?

Wally was a wonderful dog and so is his little brother Zack, but when it came to the MailMan, forget about it.    We aren't sure  who is the mailmain on the route where Wally lived, but whomever you are, Wally won't be chasing you any more.

Wally was a bed hog.    He liked to sleep with his person, and he did not like to be disturbed once he was in bed.      Mom says that when she did overnight stays with Big Wall (as we called him),  it was best to be careful when turning over.     HA.

Wally left us because of a fairly unusal condition called Canine Megaesophagus

You can learn more about this condition at Canine Megaesophagus  and although it a fairly rare condition, it is very hard to manage.   Bill Blair and his wife, Leslie, did everything they could for Wally, but sometimes we just have to say Good-Bye.

I have written a letter to my "sister"  Princess Daisy who is in charge of all of the Everything & The Dog clients at The Bridge.   She will watch out for Wally and make sure he has an important job.    Probably it will be "MailMan Duty" and making sure the angelic mail people don't wander too far into the compound, but leave their mail "at the curb".

Rest well, Wally.  You have your work cut out for you when you meet up with The Princess.

Love,

Bob

So very sorry for the loss of Wally. No matter how long since you last met, it's never easy to lose a friend, especially one that played such an important role in your life. God speed, Wally.
