Wholistic Paws

Hi, it's me, BOB.

I guess you know that since I am doing the blogging, but just in case, I thought I'd remind you.

In the past I have mentioned our friend, Dr. Krisi Erwin and her wonderful service which is called
Wholistic Paws

Here she is and don't you just love her little face?      I want to sit on her lap.

This is what it says on her web-site which is very helpful:

Welcome to Wholistic Paws
Nealy Veterinary Services!

Wholistic Paws Veterinary Services was created by Dr. Krisi Erwin and her husband, Jeremy, to provide the following services in the comfort and dignity of your own home:

We can also offer additional services such as pain management, nutritional counseling, traditional Chinese herbal medicine, and help with treatments such as subcutaneous fluid administration. We truly believe that treatment plans must be tailored to meet the needs of the WHOLE pet and the WHOLE family – hence our name: Wholistic Paws.

OliverAt Wholistic Paws, it is our goal and commitment to work with you and your veterinarian to provide additional care for your pets that your regular veterinarian may not be able to offer. Throughout the course of care, your veterinarian will be kept informed and involved in the treatment that your pet is receiving. Think of us as one more "tool" to help improve your pet's quality of life and to provide an enriching, loving, and special end of life experience for your pet when the time is appropriate.

Wholistic Paws currently serves Loudoun County, Virginia and the surrounding areas. We can care for dogs, cats, and pocket pets (i.e. rabbits, ferrets, and guinea pigs). We are available by appointment only and we try to keep our appointment times flexible for your family's convenience.

One of the things that we love about our Krisi is that she is very active in our community and you can find out more about some community events when you go to her web-site, but just so you know what is coming up, here are some things to check out.

Summer

St. James' Literacy Program - A secular, integrated literacy program for low income rising third graders who are at risk of falling behind in grade level reading and who are not already being serviced in the public schools.

Fall

Paws for a Cause 3K Walk - Proceeds from this walk benefit Fairfax Pets on Wheels, Inc., an all volunteer organization dedicated to providing pet visitation to residents of nursing homes and hospitals.

Winter

Community Holiday Coalition - the Holiday Coalition has a Thanksgiving Program and Christmas Program that bring together people from all walks of life: those who need assistance and those who want to help. Each year nearly 1,000 volunteers and donors come together to "Brighten up the Holidays" for low-income Loudoun County residents.

The other thing that we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE is The Wings of Grace

Grace

The Wings of Grace
Hospice Care Program

Hospice and palliative care are relatively new concepts in the world of veterinary medicine. While both practices tend to go hand in hand, they are indeed different.

Please go and immediately find your Mouse Person and ask him to fly you over to Wholistic Paws so you can learn all about this wonderful program that Dr. Krisi offers.

We are indeed lucky to have Dr. Krisi in our community.
                                                                                                            This is Grace

Now all I have to do is see if she will come to my home and clip my toenails because I do not like to go to the "office" to have this done.    It is an upsetting event for me and I am long overdue for a trim.

Love and Licks,

Bob
