Dog Swim Almost Here

Saturday, September 10, 2011.
          Save the Day.
                    More important.
Be There.   The pool is all ours, after a year of waiting.   Yahoo!

I must be perfectly honest with you and tell you that I'll be sending my roving reporters, WillowBee and Little Smudge, as I am not  water dog.    I tried it.  Once.   I sank to the bottom of the bowl.     Thanks, I'll pass.

But I do think it is a really fun way to get together with your peeps and have a good time.  Here are a few pictures from last year:

These three pals are discussing what they did last summer!

Everyone line up for the BIG RACE......... let's go!

In the lead........ keep your eye on the ball!

And the winner is!!!!!!     I do believe that is a MY SQUEAKY BALL, too!

And don't think that the pool is just for the BIG dogs!

Do you have some photos from last year that you would like to share?  Send them to me at bloggingbob2007@gmail.com and I'll showcase some in the next couple of days.    But meanwhile, get ready to attend this year, and be sure to take your towel and your camera!  (and then send me your pics from this year too!)

Don't forget that the Annual Dog Swim is the big fund raiser for our very own dog park at Olde Izaak Walton Park, in Leesburg!

AND THIS YEAR, YOU CAN BUY A T-SHIRT ------- small donation, big benefit!

                      View of the Dog Park

So plan on attending the Dog Swim; and remember that the Dog Park is open all the time for fun on land  (a little more my style).

Then entry fee is just $5 per dog for the Swim on Saturday, September 10th, (two dogs per family, please)...... and you can purchase a shirt or a bottle of water and have a wonderful time.

Please tell my "roving reporters", Little Smudge and WillowBee, that you said "hi"

Love and Licks,

Bob
...... not a water dog
