Drowned Rat?

As you know, my Mom walks dogs for our company, Everything & The Dog

Today, when she came home, she looked really, really, really bad.    She said she felt like a drowned rat.     Of course this caused my Mouse Person, MOPE, to scurry all over the top of the desk and roll around laughing like some kind of an idiot.      And of course, he then talked me into taking a ride in cyberspace to find out what a drowned rat really looks like

Oh, boy.    There are a LOT of pages of photos of various creatures and people who definately look like - yep -- a drowned rat.       Some of them are pretty stupid, but frankly, a lot of them looked a lot like my Mom

--- take this pitiful creature for example.    Good thing we can't really see her face as she looks pretty miserable.  HA.

Here were a couple of our favorite pictures from the millions that people seem to have felt it necessary to post into cyberspace:

Mom says a couple of the doggies she walks looked a lot like this poor thing....... yes - it WAS raining that hard in Leesburg, Virginia today.   Trust me.

Then there is this poor thing - and please, explain to me why a cat needs to get a bath?   Aren't they supposed to clean themselves up on their own?     I am pretty sure that our Beijing Kitty would not be at all happy if we stuck her in a bucket of sudsy water.

And of course, there is this classic shot of someone trying NOT to drown.   I wonder if he'll be at the Dog Swim on Saturday?

So the next time it is raining really, really badly, please think about your poor dog walker.    You may have a "drowned rat" working for you and not even know it.   HA.

Love and Licks,

Bob
----- warm and dry in my box, thanks
