Dog Swim a Huge Success
The dog swim that took place at Ida Lee Park on Saturday, the 10th, was a HUGE success. HUGE. Mom stopped by to check it out around 10am and there were already close to a hundred dogs in attendance. And they just kept coming. When my sis, Lydia, got home she said they estimated that maybe 400 doggies had the chance to swim and socialize.
If you missed the swimming this year, be sure to go next year, because let me tell you, it is fun, fun, fun. (I know this because my four-legged "sister" WillowBee, who sometimes we call The Beast, got to go and spent the entire time playing and swimming and having a wonderful time. I had sent her as my roving reporter. Frankly, I admit it. I do not WANT to go into a swimming pool. Ever. I tried it once. Not good.
Even better, Mom, meet up with two of her favorite clients, Nigel and Saffron, The Swimming Shar-Peis.

Mom said that Nigel looked very nice in his bright orange harness (I thought he looked like he was ready for Halloween)......... and Saffie was obviously Pretty in Pink.
Mom says that every week when she comes to walk Nigel and Saffie for their mid-day visit with Everything & The Dog -- that they have yet another set of harnesses..... she never knows from week-to-week, which color combo the doggies will be sporting. I don't have a harness. My collar is shabby. I am obviously living in the wrong home. Something needs to be done about my wardrobe, that is for sure.
And, not only do the Shar-Pei's have a better ward-robe than I do, their DAD has a video camera and actually has made them famous by posting them to YouTube.
