Take a Walk with Us!
On Sunday, October 2nd it is time again for the annual Walk for the Animals, sponsored by HART (which stands for Homeless Animals Rescue Team.
This is definately an event that you should participate in and it will be tons of fun in addition to raising money for a great cause.
There is still time to Start a Team of your own (actually until midnight tonight) , and of course you can also join a team that is already started.
Walking teams are a fun way to get your friends, family, or coworkers involved and raise even more pledges. The team that raises the most in total pledges gets special recognition on the HART website. Register your team before September 15th, and your team name will be listed on the "Walk for the Animals" t-shirt! Visit the Teams section for more information or to register.
Our company, Everything & The Dog, will be a vendor, and you can do that do if you would like. Here is some information on Sponorships and Vendors:
Sponsorships are a great way to advertise your business to a dedicated group of animal lovers, or to honor the animal or human who has meant so much to you. Sponsorship packages start at just $25! Visit the Sponsors section for more information or to register.
Vendor space is free! This is a great way to meet animal lovers and to show off your wares. Visit the Vendors section for more information or to register.
The event will be at the Bull Run Special Events area and if you ask your Mouse Person very nicely, and have him click right here you will find a handy, dandy map and directions on how to arrive.
There are a few rules and regulations (which is always the case ------ and are to assure that everyone is safe and has a good time). Here they are:
- All pets are welcome.
- Pets must be child friendly. Any pet exhibiting aggressive behavior will be asked to leave.
- Pets must be on a leash at all times.
- Please clean up after your pet. Waste bags will be available if needed.
- Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent.
