Merlin the Magnificent
As you know, my Mom walks dogs for our company, Everything & The Dog

One of her daily walks is for a family of three: Two Cardigan Welsh Corgis named Merlin and Raz and a rather ancient but still active Aussie by the name of Bear. Raz is only a baby dog and is still learning his manners, but Merlin is an old hand and trying very patiently to show Raz how to behave when in public places. This is a challenge. HA.
But here is the wonderful news. On Saturday, October 1, Merlin and his family went to the Warrenton Kennel Club Show and guess what? MERLIN won Best in Breed! And here is proof:

In this picture Merlin is shown with Peny Lang, who is his handler (she is the nice lady in the middle), and the Judge Person, who is named Nancy Bodine.
And...... in addition to a bunch of ribbons, not to mention all the honor that goes with being the Best of Breed, Merlin also won a handmade leather leash. I don't have a handmade leather leash. I guess I'll have to talk to my Mom about that one. I don't have any ribbons either, but on the other hand, I am BOB, Boy Bloginator and PitBull Reporter Extra Ordinary, so there.
Merlin and his Mom & Dad (with some help from his brother) are in the process of writing a book about being a Corgi. Since my Mom gets to see them every day, she is always current on the progress of the book, so when it comes closer, we will be sure to be blogging about it.
Meanwhile ---- Congrats to Merlin. I have never known a Best in Breed before, so I am totally honored to add Merlin to my list of distinguished friends.
Love and Licks,
Bob
