Still a Baby
I'm sure that everyone has been following the "growing up" of my baby Sister who is called Smudge.
On October 22nd Smudgie will be ONE whole entire year old. I simply cannot really believe that she has been in our home with us that long. My friend Mickey, the hound-dog, wrote to me and told me he just got a very annoying Little Sister, so he and I can save ourselves by trying to figure out whose little sister is more annoying at any given point in time.
So anyway, one of Smudgie's very first toys was her doggie blanket (not this pink one - the original one was beige)
I hate to say bad things about members of "The Family" but let me tell you, that old beige blankie with a doggie head, had practically become Toxic Waste. No kidding. It smelled awful, and was full of holes and had some parts missing. It was, however, Smudge's favorite thing in the entire toy box (and let me tell you, that box is packed to overflowing).
So yesterday my two leg Sister, Lydia, came home with a box of dog biscuits for all of us, and a BRAND NEW BEAUTIFUL, SOFT AND NICELY SCENTED, Pink Doggie Blanket for Smudge. So now Smudgie appears to have camped out in her favorite chair with her new BFF. All of us over on this side of our property have placed our bets as to just exactly how long this new blankie will be intact and odor free.
But then again, I shouldn't be too big of a meanie head, since I have a couple of "rags" stuffed into the back corner of my own crate that can no longer be identified as to their original appearance or even the general shape of the object they once were.
Life is good when you are a Baby BullDog with a pink blankie to keep you safe and warm.
Love and Licks,
Bob
