Auction Results
So.
As I told you a couple of days ago, I did NOT succeed in buying myself some great new collars at the wonderful Auction to Benefit Scooby Medina in Spain.
Those collars were totally meant for me, Bob, but unfortunately because it was an auction, I just looked away for one moment and voila' --- someone else is wearing my new collar.
The auction ended around noon on October 10th, and I just want to say a personal and very heart felt THANK YOU to everyone who bid on the amazing items and in this way, raised around $3800 for Scooby Medina. This money is desperately needed by this wonderful place who helps so many, many dogs - not only The Spanish Galgo, but mixed breed dogs as well.
Please find your Mouse Person and ask him to click you away to the Scooby Website and you can even see an article about my two legged sister and her trip to Spain last year.
And here is another way you can help support Scooby ---
BUY A CALENDAR.
You can order them from the Scooby web-site and then ----- here is an idea......... once your calendar arrives, pick a day EACH MONTH and make a note that says: "Send $10 to Scooby"........ If you sent only $10 per month, you would hardly miss that money and dogs at Scooby will be benefitted a hundred times over.
Mom says we need to start thinking about our donation money in relationship to our "needs". Like --- do you really need a latte' from Starbucks? Or could that $5 be sent to Scooby or a place like it?
I think, in this case, Mom has had an idea that makes sense. Sadly, I must report that some of her ideas are rather strange, but this is a good one.
And don't forget about Scooby North America:

Scooby North America exists exclusively for charitable and educational purposes as the voice between the Scooby Animal Refuge in Medina del Campo, Spain and the people of North America. Our website will have information about the shelter in Spain, a guide for volunteers wishing to travel to Scooby, and the steps required to adopt. Right now, Scooby North America is working on their web-site so there isn't a lot of information available but you can get on their mailing list and keep yourself current with everything that is happening in the Scooby World.
Love and Licks,
Bob
------- still no new collar, but going to buy a calendar.
