Oakmont gets a Sister!

Our friend, Oakmont, has been an only child and totally a Princess, ever since we have known her.    It seems that a few days ago, Oakmont woke up and discovered that she had been given "the gift" of a baby sister, Augusta.

Here is what Oakmont's Mom sent to us

Don't know too much about her...  other than sometime in the last week or so, left in a box with her litter in Blacksburg.  Ended up in a dorm room at Tech.  Came back this way with one of your walker's
daughters.  And now our way.  Maybe 6-7 weeks old.  Kind of jack-ish. Maybe beagle.  Who knows.  But 100% sweetie pie.  She's proving that she's no dummy and has the potty thing downpat (and is way faster
outside than Oakmont) and also shows up her big sister when asked to sit and stay.  We sure lucked out.  They say timing and karma is everything...and this is a perfect fit.  Oakmont is adjusting just
fine.  Sometimes acting like a concerned mommy and sometimes a ornery older sister...

On the other hand, here is Oakmont's side of the story:

Dear Bob,
Remember me?  Princess of everything, to include table jumping. Newsflash, I've been demoted.  Second string.  B list.  First looser.
BUT, my Mom says there's a light at the end of the tunnel...that it's not a demotion, but instead I've been promoted.  I'm no longer the Princess around here.  I'm NOW the Queen.  Can you believe it?  I'm in
charge.  I've been told I need to step up my game and teach the little runt the rules.  She's the Princess now.  I guess they're calling her Augusta.  Princess Augusta, oh la la.

She has stolen my toys (who cares if they're the ones I never liked), my human's laps, my spot on the sofa, and worst of all, Mom's spot in front of her computer.  She does have to sleep in a crate though.  Ha
ha.  Mom says it's because she's little and not as smart as me....YET...  Yet?  What's that supposed to mean.  Who cares if she potty's faster?  I don't.  I like to see the sights and smell the roses.  Maybe I'll take even longer, just because.

Your's truly (but I do like her a little, I'll admit it),

QUEEN of everything, Oakmont

So Welcome to the World, Augusta...... I'm so happy for you, because I know that Queen Oakmont will be a wonderful Big Sister.

Love and Licks,

Bob
