Happy Birthday, Sister

Today is my two-legged Sister's Happy Birthday

I promised that I wouldn't tell how old she is but I will say that she was born sometime after 1961...... Mom says that after 30 it is not polite to discuss a lady's age.     And besides, Mom says, if I say how old Lydia is, then with some simple math and the fact that Mom was 25 when Lydia was born, then everyone would know how old Mom is too.

I have no idea what is the matter with these two legs cause I am certainly very proud of every single one of my years.

If you wonder why we haven't had any blogging since December 1  (and yes, I know, I promised to Blog-a-Day until December 31)..... it is because my Mom is working on a very huge, big, tremendous surprise for Sister.  And of course, I am helping her.

Every year at this time, Lydia goes to California to see all the ladies she went to college with and they eat a lot and have a great time.  Mr. Pat goes along.    So my Mom and my German Grandma, Omi, are holding down the fort.   And working on THE SURPRISE.

We are so excited, except for the fact that Mom is dragging her poor old fanny around looking many years older than she did before she got this wild idea.

To make sure I found you some interesting facts about December 4th - which are Birthday Related ---- here is a quote:
Rock stars used to say, "Don't trust anyone over 30!"
Now that many are over 50 they say, "Oops, we didn't mean us."

And you know who else has a Happy Birthday on December 4?    Well, I will tell you:

Tyra Banks   (and this is not the one who is the minature horse my Mom takes care of)
Jay Z
Marisa Tomei
Jeff Bridges
Dennis Wilson  (Mom says he is a Beach Bum, or Beach Boy, or something)
Wink Martindale  (who Mom says probably no one even remembers)

So there you have it!

Happy Birthday, Sister Lydia

I love you and can't wait for you to come home to kiss me.

Licks,

Bob
