I was getting so worried about you I almost emailed your Mom to make sure everything was OK. Now, I find out you've been a sick little Bobby Bunny and that makes me feel bad (probably not as bad as you were feeling, though). I'm glad you are feeling better and that Dr. Bev Hollis had the right remedy to help you feel better.

I'm also pleased that you are posting for the Petit Dekor & the Baet family. I hope the little 4 year old girl will be OK after receiving her chemo. This has to be really tough on that family. I wish I lived in Leesburg, sometimes. That way I could come over and play with you, Bob. We've never met, but I do think the world of you and, honey, it's good to hear you are starting to feel better.

Love, Blazer & his secretary (Mom)

  Hi Gang

I'm sorry I made you worry and now my Mom tells me that she has fallen behind on her duties - the only one worth doing, I think - which is handling my fan mail. Recent comments have not been posted.

Mom, Mom, Mom. What am I going to do with you? Obviously some severe punishment is in order. I believe I will push the mattress AND the feather beds onto the floor, move the couch and chairs and just generally rearrange our furniture.

What's that you say........oh. You are sorry? O.K. I'm going to do it anyway.

Love,

Bob

Comment on Greyhounds Everywhere!

Dear Bob,
I'm so glad that your Sister took you to the bank and they had a magic window that popped out with a treat for you and one for Rusty. How nice of you to share...I don't share my treats. I went to the bank today with my Grandma and cha-ching I got two tasty treats. I love that place. When Grandma says, "Let's go to the BANK", I get all excited and do the pitbull worble noise that makes my Gran laugh. I know the way to the bank, and I could drive there if I could get the car keys.If I can do that some day I'll pick you up and we can go to the magic window together.

Yesterday, we went to the burger place and the magic window there gave me some french fries. I really love fries. You should get your Sister to take you to that magic window. When we pull up the end of my nose gets all pink...that's how my Gran knows I'm excited.

Here comes Grandma...I think she's going to take over the typing machine.

Love and kisses, Lexi Lou

  My darling LexiLou

I think I am in love with you. I never heard of another PitBull like me with the pink nose syndrome (that's what my Mom calls it). I thought I was the only one and have been a little bit ashamed of myself. Do your inner ears turn pink when you are embarrased? Can you send me a picture of you so I can post it on the wall at the end of my crate?

Isn't it wonderful that you and I can go places and that we can show people not to be afraid of us. I'm still working on our UPS man, but he's coming around. I can't believe that Magic Window place! I dreamed about it last night cause my Mom said I was doing the PitBull twitch all night.

You know how to worble too? Oh boy.

Love, kisses, licks and worbles,

Your BoyFriend Bob

Comment on Greyhounds Everywhere!

Dear Bob,
My name is Lexi. I'm a pitbull too and my Grandma is the founder of Virginia Greyhound Adoption. She told me about you when you were so sick. I'm glad you're better.

People don't know that pitbulls are so smart and sweet. Most of them don't know we can type, but I don't have a blog like you.

I wanted to go to the picnic too. My Mom goes and volunteers every year but she never takes me. I'll talk to my Grandma...she spoils me rotten and takes me for a car ride every day while my Mom is at work. We go to the bank. Have you been there? They have a magic window that pops out with treats for me. They all know how much I love those biscuits so now the magic window gives me too. I really love that. They have these magic windows all over the place, so look for them. Some windows pop out with french fries and burgers and some have tacos. Next time you're in the car, go to the magic window places.
Love, Lexi

  Hi Lexi

I would really like to meet you! You sound like a really cool person to me and I'm sorry you don't have a blog of your very own, but HEY, thank you for the news about the Magic Windows!

I can't believe that such valuable information was just hanging out and no one bothered to tell me about it. Today, my Sister and my Mom took me and my "bro", Rusty, for a photo shoot with The Washington Post. We are getting a new dog park in Leesburg (isn't that exciting?) and so The Post People are going to write about it and have MY photo graph in the paper!

On the way to the photo shoot, my Sister gave me a Magic Window Demo and guess what? It works just like you said. We drove up to the Banking Place and voila' the very nice lady who took our money gave us two biscuits. One for me and one for Rusty. It was great.

The only thing I have to say about this is - do you not think that is a terrible lot of money to give the banking lady in return for two small biscuits? Just a thought.

Anyway, I am so glad you are my new friend. Please send me news bulletins like this whenever you have a chance to use your typing machine. I can't wait to get a taco.

Love and Licks,
Bob

Comment on Greyhounds Everywhere!

Bob, darling - It's your Auntie Tracie with a great idea about how to get into the next bash thrown by those snooty Greyhounds. You know how they hold thee picnics to raise money & awareness for their less fortunate brothers? And how they have a raffle and auction for items of value? Well you tell them that your Auntie Tracie wrote a book called THE DOG BIBLE and she will autograph a copy for them to raffle off - as long as you are the one who brings the book to them. You've heard of the Trojan Horse?? This will be more like the Trojan Pit Bull. By the time they remember to "Beware of Greeks bearing gifts" you'll already be in the party and can blend in. Take a can of Wagatha's biscuits with you for safety's sake - you can bribe a couple to Greyhounds to hide you until the heat dies down.

Oh my goodness, Auntie T that is an amazing idea.

I already have a "greyhound collar". My Mom bought it for me yesterday and it is so me. I always like to wear those kind with the pull up loopy thing, Mom says it is called a Martingale, but that sounds too much like a bird to me. Anyway, it is black and has white skulls and crossbones on it AND nice beautfiul red hearts. I love it so much.

And you are right about the auction, cause my Sister got to pay for a wonderful Greyhound Knitamil by Danamarie and she got it a fantastic price so she is very happy.

Mom and Sister said they had some fun, but mostly cause our friends Rick & Janet were there and also our friends Tom & Diane who are owned by three greyhounds and one Spanish Galgo. Those puppies can run.

I have my plan set for next year. You are so wonderful, Auntie T. Sometimes my Mom is just plum out of ideas so please help me when you think I need it. Mom says that is most of the time. HA!

Love,
BobHound

Comment on Greyhounds Everywhere!

Hi, Darling Bob,

I'm so sorry you didn't get to go to the Greyhound Picnic. I see the picture of the sad greyhound and it is a bit unfair that he won't be able to meet you "The World's Most Loving Pitbull and only Pitbull in The Blogging Business". Heaven's sakes, you'd think they'd want you there to do the reporting so your readers could get the inside details. As it is, the news will all be second-hand. I do think you do a fine job of reporting without the 2-legged's, though. After awhile, you won't need any help entering your stories into this blog; that's when we'll get the real "dirt" on the family. teehee You're doing a fine job... keep up those leg-stretching exercises!

Love, Blazer & Kimber and (Mom)

Dear Fans of Bob (ha....that's a good one!)

Our friend Tracie Hotchner had a wonderful idea for next year, and I'm going to do it. By the time I do my leg stretches, wear my wonderful new collar and have Tracie's Dog Bible in a special pack for my back, no one could possibly mistake me for anything other than a Grey!

I'm so excited!

BobHound

Comment on Rusty!

Bob, you need to have a collar that says "Babe Magnet", too! That's only fair if Rusty has one. It's good to see that Rusty's spine is doing much better. Hopefully, he gets out of his crate, a lot now and Mom is building some ramps for him. That'll help keep pressure off his long back.

Those photos are too funny (how they are almost in the exact same position). I'm definitely laughing.

You keep up the good reporting, Bob, these stories are very important.

Love, Blazer, Kimber and Mom (Vicki)

  Dear Auntie Vicki and B/K

It is amazing how my two photo taking buddies could have ever had both of those shots. Especially since the one of Rusty was from before I was a twinkle in my Daddy's Eyes. (you know what that means, right?)

I got a new collar yesterday from the Greyhound Picnic that my Mom and my Sister went to. It is even better than a Babe Magnet. I'll try to find a photo of it for you.

I love you guys,

Bob the ReporterBull

Comment on Rusty!

Hey Bob!
I'm SO glad that Rusty is feeling better-those back thingys with dogs like him are NO fun. Reiki and other methods such as Accupuncture(you know, where they use all those tiny, fine needles? But they don't hurt.)are usually the best method to help all of us.

Oh, and Bob? I agree-you must get a way cool collar that shows ya like the babes. I know my boys(especially my pitx) would be envious of Rusty if they saw his photo! So-I'm not letting them see it! :)

Dearest Aunt Kathy (and please say a big Hello to Luke & The Boys)

Wait until you see the collar I got yesterday when My Mom went to the Greyhound Picnic. It is so way cool and Rusty will be so jealous. I'll try to find out where to buy one for your pit-x, cause all of us should have something with beautiful red hearts on it to show how much love we are holding.

As for the "fine" needles. I do not think they make a "fine" needle. As for me I believe that all needles are "un-fine" on so many levels, but I'll mention it to Miss Jewel.

Love and Licks,
Bob, PitBull Extraordinaire (my Mom just made that up...... I'm sorry -- there are just so many neat smells to be sniffed and items on the ground to be tasted and carried around. But back to my reason for writing:

Thank you for posting this very important issue. I asked my mom what this Sarah Palin person meant by comparing hockey moms to pit bulls. Does that mean hockey moms are sweet lovable creatures that love to be hugged and kissed, and would love nothing better than to cuddle up next to their humans for a nice long nap?

I don't get humans sometimes, do you? Especially these politicians -- my mom says there are more important things in the world to worry about than saying pigs or pit bulls or even hockey moms wear lipstick. Maybe someday they'll be as smart as you and me, cousin Bob.

Ooooh...speaking of smart pit bulls...did you see the television program on Friday night about our cousins and brothers and sisters that were rescued from some man's house in Virginia. I can't remember his name, but I think he played a sport on TV. It might even be the same sport that has my mom yelling and cheering at the TV every Sunday.

Anyway, this football man was keeping all of these pit bulls at his house and making them fight each other, when we both know that pit bulls would really rather curl up for a nap. But these very nice people rescued the dogs and this great place in Utah took them in and convinced them that they really didn't want to fight, that they should show the world what great dogs they can be. And they did! Maybe you could do one of your great reporting stories about that?

I watched that show with my mom and she cried when she saw how this one pit bull, who was scared of his own shadow in the beginning, ran and played with another pit bull at the end. And you know what? I cried a little bit too, but don't tell anyone -- I have a reputation to keep, you know... ;-)

Love and licks,

Cousin SMURF

P.S. I'm sorry I went on and on for so long -- sometimes I have a lot to say and not many people who want to listen. So thanks for listening!

  Smurf, My Main Man

I love that show. It is called DogTown and I'm actually going to go to my sister's home today and watch Friday night's program which is saved by the TiVo Creature. I love that TiVo Creature, don't you? I am scared about what he might really look like in person, pulling and pushing all those wires and buttons inside the television set. I think really late at night while we are asleep he sneaks out and drinks. One would have to have had too much to drink to think they were good enough to accomplish all of that stuff in a 24-hour period. HA.

I got a new collar, by the way. Read my Blog in just a little bit more time today and I'll tell you all about it. Ask your Mom to get you one.

Love, your BFC (BestFriend&Cousin)
Bob

Comment on Bad Food

Hi Bob,

Thanks very much for reporting this story in such a timely fashion (and, thank Michelle, too). Teresa is so darned pretty and Jay is very handsome. The Photo Graph people, Lyn & Karen, did such a great job capturing the love between Teresa and Jay in the photo. It is so touching. I can't wait for you to post a pic of her in her wedding gown. What a happy time for all! And, I promise, Jay will never know you have a crush on Teresa... it won't be me that "spills those beans"!

Mr. Bob, you truly have become a wonderful reporter (almost overnight). You are catching on so fast and it's good that you are "digging" for news stories.
